I don't get it.
I don't get it.
Good player, but still don't understand how everybody puts him in a tier of the top 5 players in the league. Yea the Pacers are the best team, but a lot of that has to do with all the great pieces they have. He's not manufactured btw, dude is a good 2 way player, just not great.
Durant is a superstar without ref help, but he's elevated to the ranks of a megastar with the +3 to 5 bull FTA advantage he gets from the refs in any given game (3 to 5 doesn't sound like a lot but it's often game changing when two teams are evenly matched, regardless of whether they're awarded during a critical part of the game or not).
Lebron is the only legitimate modern-day megastar in the game. '11 finals Dirk was probably a legitimate, borderline megastar as well.
I think Harden is the most egregious example of a manufactured superstar. He'd merely be an all-star caliber player without the routine +4 to 6 bull FTA advantage he gets from refs in any given game.
Regardless of whether you think it's a bad call or not he still had to make the shot for it to matter.
You also forgot to post his steal on I T to secure the Ps victory
While we're on it

Paul g is anything but manufactured tbh, the guy is a jump shooter, he doesn't attack often except on fastbreak, saving his energy for the tenacious d he plays. He's legit, and a top 3 player in the league.
Harden. He's not particularly good at anything besides "selling" contact.
Damn dude, youing that something fierce.
defending that call
Only thing that matters in the nba are wins and losses. I don't get caught up in the ref ing
Lebeta and his superfriends. Stern supplies them with HGH and aborted babies to try and give them an edge over the league each year. Unfortunately, those products aren't helping as much as they used to.
Derrick Rose tbh, even more so than Durant.
-got way overhyped in the draft due to "size and athleticism" for his position, comparing him to a combination of Jason Kidd and Dwyane Wade lol
-couldn't take his own SATs because he probably can't read
-NBA rigged the draft so he could play in his hometown of Chicago and write the next championship chapter after Jordan
-won an MVP award he didn't deserve, as well as affecting LeBron's legacy (the way Karl Malone did Jordan by stealing an MVP from him)
-Adidas "he's fa-ast" campaign brainwashing kids all over the country
-wouldn't recruit LeBron or Wade or Bosh because he didn't "need" them to win
-has only made it out of the first round of the playoffs once, meanwhile his team last season made it out of the first round WITHOUT him
-in the only post season he got out of the first round, went to the free throw line 34 times in the first two games of round 1 to help "jumpstart" his game
-didn't want to "tough it out" even though he was medically cleared to play
-still can't shoot, and now he ain't so "fa-ast" anymore
-dumped by fiance, in love with a stripper
-fake thug, gang signs
-weaker knees than Greg Oden
-Thibodeau thinks he's a
Pacers are down 4 with 18 seconds left, ref calls a foul on the desperation 3, which happened to go in, but with the extra free throw they are able to tie the game and win in OT. There was 0 contact on the play and ref was right next to them, he whistled before he even released the ball.
That's one bad call for PG compared to the million per game that Durantufactured gets![]()
I mean overall manufactured. The league has been selling him as some KD-Lebron tier player. He's just a great defender with a decent jumper, he's a star for sure, but not a superstar.
Durant is a much better offensive player. Please.
Sorry, son, you can'tthe foodstamps that Duripthrough gets
![]()
Still a better pure shooter, post player and inside scorer. Paul George is a great defender and everything, but he hasn't shown the ability to carry Indiana on offense against Miami in the Playoffs, Lebron owns his soul. 7 points on 2-9 shooting in Game 7 of the ECF, seriously? At least KD put up 30 ppg with Lebron guarding him in the Finals. Imagine KD on that Pacers team.
Pacers have the best defense, but their offense is average. George should be making more plays, 23.6 ppg is good, but it's not elite.
Play style has a lot to do with FTA. Other players can do it as well, they just don't. Durant and Harden have the knowledge and wherewithal to actually exploit the fact that refs are human and so they drive the paint and get foul calls. They don't go in recklessly most time, but they do the up and under move and that gets them to the line almost every time. When the defense can learn to counter than or avoid it, it won't be an issue.
I highly doubt the NBA has picked those two to coddle.
So PG is a manufactured superstar because he's not as good as KD/LeBron.
Who do you consider superstars? The Kyrie Irvings and John Walls of the league or Lebron and KD?
AchillesHeel doing work in this thread and H.O.E.N.Ott.
Irving is a superstar. I'd no idea only Durant and LeBron are en led to be superstars.
