I think a better analysis would be comparing Lebron to Jordan. Like Lebron... the Beatles were a hit with the media out the gate and shoved down the worlds throats. The other defied logic and spawned an entire new genre that anyone has yet to match. Like Lebron... the Beatles were marketed towards the youth and young females. If i were to sum it up I'd go as far as saying no one will be patterning their game after Lebron 20 years from now, but Jordan will still be the gold standard. Hogwash.
No band will ever achieve again what the Beatles achieved.
And they paved the way for bands like Led Zep.
And Jimmy Paige wasn't even the best guitar player when all were in the Yardbirds, Eric "Slowhand" Clapton was, and after him Jeff Beck. Paige was their bass player.
That is not to say Led Zep wasn't a great band, they were, but keep it realistic.
