Still half a season left, but is there even a debate at this point?

He defines MVP in just about every sense. With more pressure on him to score he is consistently scoring 40+ point games while shooting over 60%. When his team needs him the most he answers with clutch plays, whether its a pass or a bucket. With his All-star PG out he's keeping his team on top of the west and has them currently on an 8-game winning streak. He's not just scoring either, he netted a triple double during this stretch.

Love him or hate him, you need to respect him. I love LBJ, but this year it's Durant's MVP to lose.

One by one, every non-bias basketball enthusiast will endorse Duralpha's MVP season. You just gotta appreciate greatness and I am excited to share with other basketball fans the witnessing of anther legend as he goes to work.

Seriously, he's having a great season. There's no way to spin it. Not only is he great individually, but he's leading his team to a top seed in the West. Clearly the MVP right now.

What happens if lebron beats him handily in their matchups, though? or if the heat pull another win streak? or both. It'll make a closer race, tbh.

Durbeta was the "clear MVP" at this time last year, and then the Kang stopped coasting

Don't see why everyone's expecting that the same won't happen this year, tbh....

Because Durant is much better this year, and Lebron is not as good? His numbers compared to last year have dipped a considerable amount. And their roster is a year older. You're expecting them to go on a 20+ game winning streak? Ok.

KD has the clear edge here, he's playing without Westbrook and the team is still winning at the same pace while he's averaging 37 ppg 8 rpg 6 apg in his last 17 games.

All trolling aside, Durant is ballin right now. Just hope he doesn't go the Derrick Rose 2011 route.

If he does win the MVP, Lebron will be possessed to tap that skinny a$$ in the finals.

If Durbeta gets MVP and they meet in the Finals, I really think it will be a repeat of when Hakeem took a wet on D-Rob

The Heat have a better team and match up well with the Thunder.

Durant is the MVP for sure this year at this point... but lets not get carried away. "All time great" based off what exactly? What has Durant really accomplished?

I was a bit surprised to find out KD has more triple doubles and double doubles than Lebron this year.

I'm sure he gets superstar calls more than everyone else, but you can't focus only on that. The refs arent the ones throwing in those contested jump shots for him. He's got someone in his face 90% of the time and still sinks them. He's unguardable, just like how dirk is when he's lighting people up.
