    A little perspective here.

The Rockets just won the season series for the first time since the 1996-1997 season. Let that sink in.......

SA delivered a 22 game winning streak to the Rockets. Buying several big ticket free agents is allowing the Rockets to become relevant for the first time in almost 20 years.

As good as the long time Spurs player core has been, age and/or injuries will catch up with you at some point. That is the case right now.

The team needs first and foremost to get their roster back together again.

When injuries hit last year, the team was 10-10 the last 20 games, but they get healthy at the start of the playoffs and got rolling.....

It looks a little dicey this year.

Every NBA team is injured right now with the exception of the Miami Heat and the Pacers. Geez, we are without Harden, Asik, Garcia, Smith

Actually I think the Rockets play better without Harden. The offense flows better instead of iso-ball with Harden
    You are a certified idiot.

That's what the rockets said. I hate to be a but that's just the reality. They were missing their best player, a bona fide stud and spurs killer. This is old and the team needs to address this problem right now.

We could easily lose all of those games, D. Cousins can go off, Anthony Davis can go off, and since our PG sucks on D, DJ Augustin will probably go off tmrw.
Anthony Davis could be a serious problem....

As does the FO with their thumbs up their asses in the off-season forcing your aging trio to carry the load each and every year carrying piece of scrubs like Bonner around to le shots.

The Rockets announcers are such tools. "They called it a hook on Howard!" *replay shows Howard clearly hooking Duncan.* "No way!"
Duncan exaggerated the contact by immediately bending over for a prostate exam. For real doe.

Oh yeah, how could I forget Ayres?! He came highly recommended by Boylen, you know one of our assistant coaches who never forgets Ayres but needs to reminded we have a certain star in the making named kawhi leonard.

Tell me about the draft picks the Spurs had at their disposal to help carry the load. Leonard is a really good player at 15, which is the highest draft pick the Spurs have in 17 years.

You could sign free agents, but the big three have been getting paid through 2 and 3 contracts now. Most NBA cores last five years at the most. This Spurs core has lasted more than twice that time.

Splitter got paid this summer as a key component of last years WC Champiinship team and he has not been as good this year. Last year he was focused and missed only one regular season game.

Leonard has also regressed some. Danny Green has regressed. These three guys are all in their 20s and should be shouldering more of the load when they get back.

Bonner is a bit player now at the end of the bench.

Too many GNSF think winning 50+ games and making regular deep playoff runs for the last 20 years is an easy thing to do. It's not.

Splitter got paid this summer as a key component of last years WC Championship team and he has not been as good this year. Last year he was focused and missed only one regular season game due to injury. He had his best game of the year when he got hurt against the LAC.

Leonard has also regressed. Danny Green has regressed. These three guys are all in their 20s and should be shouldering more of the load when they get back.

Bonner is a bit player now at the end of the bench. He is an afterthought now.

Too many GNSFs think winning 50+ games and making regular deep playoff runs for the bulk of the last 20 years is an easy thing to do. It's not. Many of the people posting here don't even remember the Spurs being a bad team. They've been bad once in the last 24 or 25 YEARS.

The Rockets are now on their 3rd or 4th rebuild since TD arrived in SA and its actually working for once. Would you want to trade places with all the teams like Houston that were in the sewer for years? That's the best way to acquire rebuilding assets.

Look at the Celtics - tearing it down.

The Lakers have crashed and burned twice since Duncan got here now. They are in a world of hurt and tossed away their draft picks for Steve Nash of all people.

Oh yeah, the last time I looked at the standings, they are 33-12 - second in the Western Conference. Perspective please.

Oh and don't forget we spent a boat load to lock up Paper mache Splitter and the corpse of Manu. I wonder if Deshaun Thomas would have been useful in a situation like now.

Gaping holes and not addressing issues... thinking that big 3 will continue to play at a level where those holes are not noticed.. Not having a legit backup SF but not even trying to sign someone to fill that hole. Signing Ayres? Too much for Splitter because we thought Portland wanted him who ended up getting Lopez for 11 mil less.

Guess what guys - Duncan is 37 going on 38. Manu is 36 going on 37. Parker is 31 and will be 32 by the playoffs. You CANNOT REPLACE HALL OF FAME PLAYERS with the 28th or 30th pick in the draft or subs uting the Portland Lopez for Splitter.

I don't remember a core this far along in age that got as close as the Spurs did to winning the le last year. I can't thing of any. Maybe some of you geniuses can.

How thick in the skull are you guys.

Tell me all the moves that were so easily made. Go ahead.....

BTW nice comeback Padre. Pretty lame. You can't see past the nose on your face.

Your argument is lame when you resort to insults to make your point. The team had several ties to players in each of the past few seasons and came up empty handed each time. That's just frustrating when you have HOF players who need an extra boost to get another well-deserved le. And its because our aging players are playing well that the FO owes it to them to get them the help that they need.

Translation: You don't have an answer to my inquiry. Tell me the specific moves that could have been made or just admit that you don't really know......

Great teams can sometimes get old and lose the ability to get over the top.

The Spurs are really beat up right now and have been most of the year. Their good W-L record will allow them to make the playoffs fairly easily. They have almost three months to get it together.

Anyway this was an easy loss. Even when I found out Harden wasn't playing.

The Rockets are still a bad matchup for the Spurs and missing 3 starters plus Manu in the 2nd half isn't going to get it done. I commend the effort tonight but we seriously need a trade.

Spurs haven't lost b2b all season i believe. They win tonight tbh.

    Spurs killer isn't playing tonight.

Houston is an average team w/o Harden, .
    LOL

I guess this proves that Harden was responsible for the 1st 2 games, right?
