Then they should look to rebuild tbh, we're not contending with a broken down Manu, a slow mo TD and a TOSB TP who basically gonna be worse and worse as he gets more tired... There's no point...
Spurs still one knee explosion to C3P0/WB/Durant/etc away from contending for the Western Conference.

    not all is lost

I don't wanna be that guy but Manu can't shoot, can't pass, and now he can't even take it to the rim, the only thing he was still good at. Not to mention the psychological effects its going to have on his mind.

Blessing in disguise. Manu was getting a bit gassed so he's gonna use this time to rest up and carry us to 5.

Last year he took us to 6. He must be moving backwards.

This is the same way that Parker pulled his hammy a few weeks ago. When our guys are planting that leg and pushing off of it at the rim is when they are consistently putting too much pressure on their legs. Not good.

This is a serious question: I know nothing about how injuries heal and/or what you are supposed to do and not do while they are healing, but is there any chance that Manu could use some of this time with Chip Engelland and try to re-discover his lost three pointer? Can he practice those while not hurting his hammy? I honestly don't know, but if he could practice those, it could sure help him/and us out.

I share this sentiment. Somewhat relieved actually. No way he could play all year at a high level and maintain his energy. The hamstring is worrisome for sure but a strain isn't really a big deal. Spurs are just being overly cautious and they should be with their older guys. Manu, Tim and Tony missing games would actually end up being a good thing if the injuries were minor.

Guys like Green, Splitter, and Leonard getting hurt are really putting the Spurs in a tough spot though now having to run there old dogs into the ground to stay afloat.

Yop, would like to see Diaw/De Colo/Parker lineups on the floor for awhile. Their cohesion could help do what Manu did: make other scrubs look better (including Nando himself).

False. He carried Miami to 7 last year. This time, he's gonna do it for us in 5.

Meanwhile Ayres will get increased playing time and have Pop and his believers convinced he is good because he dunks.

I see absolutely no reason to be optimistic. Gino injured this very same hammy last season, had ample time to rest and it completely derailed him for the rest of the year. It broke his body down and limited what little athleticism he had left. It caused his shot to falter and his confidence to drop.

Similarly this year, he started off great, then injured the same hamstring. Look at the results post hamstring. Another injury to the same exact spot this time keeping him out for up to a month? No reason at all to reasonably believe this is a blessing in disguise.

Sadly this was a injury waiting to happen, Spurs were still being way to dependent on a 35+ Manu. His shot went south because his legs were completely fatigued, and those fatigued muscles just gave out. I believe it's age folks, Manu's heart is still in it but his body just cant keep up on what he wants it to do.

What still amazes me is the people here that still expect our star players to be ageless.

That was a of a dunk though, damn... reminded me of prime Manu, I just wish his body would still let him do that

Age creeps in to the best of them.
Just hope they make the playoffs.
Can't blame it on any one player unlike what the Manu haters would have you think.

The key here is that the injury doesn't get to his head... unlike last season, where he had to rush back for the playoffs, he has time. If this keeps on happening though, retirement shouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities, tbh.

Suck too, he was a top 5 SG when the season started. Lots of game left in him.

True and I hope so too, but like I posted earlier, Skills don't usually leave a good player their body goes first. I know you are being optimistic but Manu just wont be able to be that player anymore without another injury.
