Pop starts 4th with the stunning frontcourt of Matt bonner and 6-81/2 Ayers.

Like I said, as soon as bonner goes in his man scores immediately.

First bulls possession, immediate post up on bonner and score.
next 2 possessions bulls score in paint.
    Bulls take big lead.

I mean really its not rocket science...bonner = fail. Meanwhile huge 7 footer rides the pine.

poop, I have a troubled, simple mind. Please explain for me why the Spurs scored four more points than they gave up when Matt Bonner was on the floor tonight. You said bonner = fail and I know you must be right, but normally, scoring more points than the other team is considered to not be a fail.

LMFAO 014 and we still are talking about Bonner on the Spurs team Sad to say Ayres who I thought could not be worse than Blair is right up there as well Turd Towers are still here and we still have to deal with them.

Blair at least had good hands and could score and he was still a decent rebounder even though his rates were slowly dropping
    Errors does nothing well

Pop is supposed to be this brilliant coach but he is always sticking stubbornly to stupid lineups/players even when it is painfully obvious how ineffective they are.

Matt bonner is not a center. He is a 3 point specialist to be used only in set pieces/in blow outs.

Ayers is too small to defend or rebound against bigs. And he has hands of stone. Blair was more effective than him...blair had strengths, ayers has nothing.

For the haters, dont take my word for it. Just watch and pay attention to when Pop uses the bonner/ayers lineup. Like I said, the opponent will immediately start scoring in the paint.

poop, by how much more do you think the Spurs would win if you set the lineups instead of Pop? Be honest.

Just who was on the bench to play? You can't play 5 guys the whole game or would you? His choices are limited
with who can play.......How many basketball games have you actually watched? ( 1-5, 5-10, 10-20)

They would win more because I would use more effective lineups, play more effective/logical players at the right positions, and make subs utions according to each individual game/matchup instead of assuming your pre set rotations will suffice for all situations.

Ayers got over 15 minutes yesterday in the guts of the game. He is 6-8 1/2 and being used as big. His stat line:
    0 pts, 0 blocks, 1 rebound

    Think about it.......

For one, you could play the 7 foot huge guy at center instead of using a much smaller 6-8 1/2 guy or steve kerr just because hes 6-10.
Post players have to be able to defend bigs, defend the rim and rebound. Steve kerr and 6-8 ayers do not do any of these things but they get all the minutes. Predictably, ayers got abused, finishing with zero pts, zero blocks and 1 rebound. Baynes, although raw, makes much more sense at this position as he actually has the size to do the things required of a post player, as well as some offensive ability.

Yet pop stubbornly sticks with ayers and bonner.

Bonner was +4 in 7 minutes. TRY AGAIN.

The OP is just making up "facts" that didn't even happen to fit his theory.

Ayers did have +2. But had

0pts ,2 rebounds, 2 turnover, 4 PF (Perkinesse if you will)

I'm pretty sure Parker at one point got pissed at him as well.

As for Bonner, he wasn't put into a situation where could succeed.

    PG-Joseph
    SG De Colo
    SF-Belinelli
    PF-Bonner
    C-Ayers

was the rotation that started that fourth quarter.

    Matt Bonner of +/-

Funny, Only Splitter and Leonard have higher net rating than Bonner (Splitter +13, Leonard +13, Bonner +11)

No, the stats show Bonner is a good defender. Your eye test is wrong.

So if a player goes down on the fast break and now you're 4 against 5 and you score, for that instant it's better that you had a guy down because you outscored the other team by at least 2 points during that stretch. Ergo you should only play with 4 guys on the court. Try 3 even, it could be better.

Hahha you '+\-' guys are such dorks...lol ok so since Bonner is always '+' then according to your brilliant mathematical mind, we can play bonner the whole game and we will automatically.

'Statistics show Bonner is a good defender'....LMFAO what statistics show this?? So if bonner gets scored on immediately every time he comes in the game, if he cannot stop opposing bigs from scoring or defend the rim from slashing opponents, he plays big minutes but finishes with 2 points in the paint, 1 rebound and 0 blocks, YET SHOWS A POSITIVE '+/-', that makes him a good defender??

Hahaha whatever you say. The opposing bigs lick their chops when they see bonner checking in, and they take it to the rim unopposed right away. Do you dorks actually watch the games??
