Pop is a great mentor, that's his best ability, but as a coach, he's not as good as he's made out to be.
It's clear pop will never live down the game 6 collapse. The fans won't forgive it..
Well that's to be expected, even Ginobili will always be greatly affected by that Finals, he'll still be loved a lot but he went from Spurs God/ultimate fan favorite to mere TP status...
No doubt he runs his players into the ground, however, his teams without Rose have overachieved (yes, even in the East) & eliminating Brooklyn from the 1st round last year was very impressive. He gets a lot more out of , than anyone I can remember in recent times.
Any coach that can take a team to a championship is a great coach. There are a lot of teams with great players that haven't done squat.
The Spurs' bench could make the Eastern playoffs this year...probably as a 5 seed.
