Watching them highlights on Chris Brown twin he actually looks taller than 6"4'. I don't know if it's his built or what but he looks closer to 6"6'. If he can bring energy and some scoring then he probably won't be a bad fit. He's relatively young at 29 so that a plus. Hope he didn't suffer any injuries or loss athleticism. I actually like this lil ol' project.

Lol just like with Jeffers, people are ing about a guy whos on a 10 day contract. benefactor summed it up well.

At leasyt Brown is more of an NBA player than what we are throwing after our 9th man.

I actually like this signing. He is a guy that if he can pick up the system he could make danny green tradeable as well. that would give us de colo, joseph, bonner, and green as trade bait.

bellinelli, manu, and brown give us 3 good shooting guards. and hopefully 1 of those 4 or a combination can bring back a quality backup SF

2 seconds after he doesn't pass and takes a bad shot he will be in the bench. he is not an assist kind of guy, need someone to create in the 2nd unit. Wenhave plenty of shooters

Yup I agree. There's this giant glut of FA SFs, oh wait there isn't...
yea, cause they did't have like 6 months to get a ing backup SF that they needed. But thank god for all the guard that can't run a single play.

bet this one ends up clicking. i've got a good feeling about it.

he could take over the backup 1, move mills to the neal/2guard spot where he just has to worry about scoring, trade cojo and nando for help at the backup 3.

or he could be the neal/2 guard scorer and let mills focus on improving at the 1. that would help a declining ginobili to not impact us so badly.
This lines up because they can sign him to a second 10 day bringing his contract right up to the trade deadline. I think CoJo, DeColo and Bonner are on their way out for SF/PF

In a sense, brown can dribble and has better defense than Neal. Last year we had Manu to facilitate not that he is out we have guys who dont know how to engage the offense with the second unit. We need someone who can dribble drive and get Marco or mills open for shots. All we do is play one on one now which means long periods of scoreless draughts.

Still need length and defense if this is a stop gap.

it's a 10-day contract, he's a veteran player, he's 28-years old and hungry to prove himself again..he's still near his physical prime, too..

These types of contacts generally don't lead to anything long-term, these players virtually never succeed, but there's no risk involved, and if you're lucky, you'll get one of the rare gems among 10-day players, tbh..

Brown is a proven player, at least, meaning Pop won't hesitate to play him, which may not have been the case with a no-name ..if the Spurs are fortunate, maybe Brown will have a resurgence like Gerald Green, a player that was almost out of the league, yet has been a huge contributor for the Suns this year..

It probably won't lead to anything special, but there's no risk and it isn't worth the outrage over his position..

Plus if Brown impresses, it will be easier to part ways with De Colo.

Isn't this the same player who intentionally gave Manu a flagrant, hard foul last season? It was a pretty intense hit.

Hey, Finley and Bowen were able to squash their problems when Fin arrived with the team so Manu and Brown can put aside their differences too...that is unless Brown just stays for the 10 days.

I actually really like this signing. The Spurs have needed somebody who can play iso ball outside of Tony Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili. Additionally, if you guys have watched him while he was with the Lakers, Shannon Brown moves very well without the basketball to cut to the lane for alley-oops and dunks.

This goes with the logic I used in the trade thread however at this moment it makes little sense.

All im saying is this does help the injury situation a bit but it doesn't really fix anything thats wrong and what top teams are exploiting against the team. In other words it doesn't hurt but it doesn't help, unless they are making a trade and they are thinking of having him as a possible replacement to what they plan on trading. It still kind of baffles me that he was available for 10 day contracts.
