Either way, you cannot deny that Cam is progressing and getting better each year. His only issue is throwing off his back foot occasionally. His potential is scary.. and I don't see how anyone can deny that.. especially an division rival
Because he didn't do much to impress me this season. The Panthers defense was a monster all season carrying an average offense and Cam just wasn't impressive in either games against the Saints. Take away the read option and he's just an average QB.

lol don't you get it... Cam was the offense.. he had no weapons.. he made plays passing and running with no damn help outside a 34 year old receiver. and the team won 12 games... cam led them to 6 game winning drives.. did the D control that too? jimmy clausen or derek anderson wouldnt have done that. plus his passing stats are getting better each year and more efficient.. stop being dumb

Cam's athletic and makes plays, and is a solid overall QB thanks to his running and strong arm, but just an average overall passer. Not much to see here.

okay well i'll hold you to that. we will see what happens this offseason. because a #1/2 receiver will be acquired.. and if we pick up maclin, rice or hicks and/or draft a receiver such as evans.. you will see cam's progression. tough to make plays at the end of the game with brandon ladrop and ted "stone hands" ginn as your #2

it's not like cam is already ranked a top 10 QB by all media sites, right? oh wait

Brees threw for over 5,000 yards in 2008 with Colston, Shockey, and Bush missing a ton of games and Lance Moore the leading receiver

cam isn't as good as brees passing.... and he doesn't have a system to make him look better than he actually is

How did I on the Saints? In fact, I mentioned later in the thread that I liked the Saints' Dome Patrol from the early '90s (Sam Mills, Pat Swilling, Rickey Jackson, Vaughn Johnson)

They were.... the Saints' defense would routinely rank #1 in least points surrendered during the Dome Patrol era, but their offense was a net negative in 1990 and barely above average in 1992 according to SRS.... they had journeymen like Steve Walsh, John Fourcade and Bobby Hebert at quarterback

i don't understand you, if you say is worse than brees at passing, then why do you think he'll suddenly be better than brees? not counting age, of course.

I didn't say he will be better than Brees. I said he has the potential to be better than Brees is now. He already has more throwing power than him.. if he gets his accuracy on a more consistent level (stop that horrible tendency of throwing off his back foot) he will be crazy good. They still need another receiving threat.

i don't see how you can make this point given how his long throw has been basically nonexistent in the whole season. The trend is to hide Cam's incapability to throw not to expose it. That's what made the panthers better this year, i think you can agree with that. So if that's the trend, what makes you think that it will change?

He threw for 4k yards his first two seasons.. so I don't know what makes you think he cannot throw. His first two years he threw more touchdowns from verticals routes than any other QB. What made the Panthers better was to focus on the run game.. but also to be more conservative for the ball. Cam would throw 30-35 times a game his first two years. We don't need that. We have 50 mill on our running core not including Tolbert or Cam.

first off, throwing for x yards says little about one's ability to throw. Being conservative is exactly what your team is trying to do and that means to give cam as little responsibilities as possible. But a player with little responsibilities is not a star or whatever. Surely is not on par with Brees anyway.

He wasn't lying. The Saints in the late 80s and 90s were similar to your current Panthers. Elite front 7, average secondary, average to below average passing, solid running game, and being one and done in the playoffs especially losing at home.

    oh, thats weird because...

He has 209y/g for the season, cmon man that's 35 less than freaking Tannehill.. I'm no rw hater but you've been saying that wilson was the key of their success

we were talking about long throws and he was using the high amount of yardage as a proof of his ability with long throws. Once again you proved that you're obsessed and that you can't read. Now go hide again.

just be consistent with your arguments. that's a good starting point. don't use wilson's passing yard numbers as way to discredit his passing then disregard cam's passing numbers

    Now go hide again.
o RLY? here are the responses after our last argument

Does anybody remember the Browns 20ish game losing streak to the Steelers that just recently got broken?

That's what raven is to spurraider21. raven is pretty awful all around, but always finds a way to get especially anally reamed when talking to spurraider
    Raven enjoys a good beating
What the are you talking about?
Tbh if you took away the name
Of who posted it, it looks like an avante post. Bringing up 70s football and the "get it?" Is very similar to avante.
    and the 'blabla'

Raven accidently falling into DD's beartrap as an unintended target tbh

    ?
again, you can't read... we were talking about long throws, why do you feel the need to intervene every time, i already put enough on your face when i made it obvious you didn't know what game manager means despite talking about it for months.
