Mills was great once Green took over guarding Wall. He's getting better at running the offense, but he still can't dribble or defend outside of full-court pressure. Mills is very limited, and people need to accept that before truly appreciating him. He's going to have a hard time if he's matched up with Livingston tomorrow. Green's going to have his hands full with Pierce or Johnson, and Cory will have the other or Williams.

Wrong about what? I'm right about Mills. He is garbage when it matters.

Lol. Only spurstalk would take a performance like that and say they are overrated!! Lol!!!

Nets have been playing small with Pierce at the 4 and Teletovic at the 3. Green will prolly get JJ while whoever starts in Parker's spot will get Teletovic.

Really? Scoring 23 on 7-14 shooting in 20 minutes of play is worth a "B" to you? Wtf do you expect from bench players?
I agree with Robdiaz here. Patty should have scored more. 30+ at least. I don't care if he was only out there 20 minutes. If Pop won't play him 40 minutes then he needs to step it into high gear and produce more. Chrissakes. I would have given him an A grade for a triple double. I'd probably give him an A+ for a quadruple double. Well maybe I would.

None of that matters in Pops system, tbh.
    +1

Shannon Brown is a square peg trying to fit in a round hole, not to mention a potential locker room cancer. I'm sure that cheap shot on Ginobili is still fresh on the minds of the players and there is no way I would bring a guy onto the team for that reason alone. And I have no idea why Pop would sign this guy when he already has a glut of guards all vying for minutes as is. A small forward backup would be the ideal signing, someone in the 6'7" 6'8" range who can shoot like Jared Dudley or Matt Barnes would be absolutely perfect.

+ grades are stupid. They make the grade itself meaningless since you can just add another + so the A is pointless unless you assign a numerical value to it. So why not use a 1 - 100 grading scale?
yes but then to how many decimal places?

i kid, i kid. point being you can always get more specific, it doesn't really water it down. adding the +/- just gives you more than 5 options to rate a player's performance. gives you 15. of course, the more options, like a 1-100 scale, the more specific and precise, but it also makes it more difficult to be accurate since its so arbitrary

    how is the fam, havoc?
Pop is a genius not many coaches pull out that game. the play they ran for the Green 3 was magnificent. Great pass by Diaw and clutch shot by Danny but Pop diagrammed that up and he did not have Tim, Tony or Manu to run it either.

    Great ing coach tbh ...
    Yall should appreciate him more.
The one's who don't appreciate him are idiots, I can do nothing but laugh when the Pop haters around here think they can do a better job then one of the most victorious coaches in NBA history.

I was at the game last night and it was INTENSE. The "Go Spurs Go" chant frequently drowned out the Washington "defense" chant. My wife even commented that she had never heard me yell so much in my entire life (I responded that the Spurs had never been in a close game in DC in my entire life...). Tons of Spurs fans everywhere.

Timmy went GOAT on everyone and put the team on his back in the second half. Patty started hitting everything at the end of the 4th and into both overtimes. Splitter and Green played great D, as did CoJo. De Colo was horrible in the first half, but played much better in the second.

Great win for the Spurs - the Wizards are really making strides and are quickly becoming a legit team. I wouldn't be surprised if they're a top 3 seed in the East at the end of the season.

Bigger story (outside of Duncan's amazing game) was Pop's continued brilliance. Winning that game sans: Manu, Parker, KL, and eventually timmy ... what a great ing coach.
try telling that to the posters around here though....

I don't mind one + but when people do that ++ thing, unless they are double charging ions, it makes no sense. What it tells me is that the expectations were too low going in.

Pop feeds on mediocre and lessor coaches much like Duncan feeds on soft bigs. Y'all are truly blessed to see greatness up close only maybe Miami okc and Indy fans in a better place but your coach shis on theirs.
