We all already know Manu is too old, tbh.
We all already know Manu is too old, tbh.
Parker is an All Star, shoots over 50%, and he carries the team in the 4th. Yet I dont see any good Parker threads on ST. Just a bunch of dip s with keyboards on here
We've all come to accept that Manu's in TOSB mode, especially after that disastrous Finals. He's old, overpaid. and injury-prone. But he's 36 so it's expected. If Manu can give us a good 15-20 minutes every night with a vintage performance here and there, it's more than enough.
Parker's 30 years old. He's supposed to be in his prime. No excuse for him to be playing so ty.
RE: Parker is an All Star, shoots over 50%, and he carries the team in the 4th
Didn't deserve the spot seeing as he wasn't even the best player on his own team. He got in simply because of team record.
Look beyond the numbers. Kobe put up great box-score stats last year when he was actually negatively affecting the team. I have League Pass - watched every Spur game this year. TP's game looks like it's regressed back to ty mid-2000s Tony Parker. He's not the same player he was last year.
You're thinking of last year's Tony Parker.
You have league pass? Then how did you miss him being one of the top 4th quarter scorers?
Parker is putting great numbers, and the team is winning. Your Kobe argument is invalid.
Not the best player on the team? Who do you think kept the Spurs winning when Timmy was playing like dog ?
Parker was an MVP candidate this time last year, of course he's not the same he's tired after Manu cost them a loooooooong playoff run
I apreciate the effort but you're wasting your time TheGreatYacht ...![]()
He does not deserve to be an All Star this year, calm down. There are more than 8 better guards than TP right now.
In the west? Name them. Parker has carried this team to atleast 15-20 of their 38 wins. I can name 15 better shooting guards than Manu right now
Back spasms now? What is he gonna start resting on the floor like Steve Nash??? His body is breaking down....FAST.
Worrisome.
Realistically there was no way a guy could go through his career falling down 20 times a game on layups for a decade. Allen Iverson didn't last that long, tbh. Parker's already defied the odds staying elite this long.
I don't care about Manu, before you say anything, tbh(and I'm a big fan of your trolling potential, as I have stated in the past), but Parker has been awful this year..
His advanced on/off metrics have plummeted compared to last year, he's barely a net positive for the team this season..he isn't an All-Star this year, tbh..
nah, just fake reason to feed the League office as to why Tony was rested.
Well, what did you expect to happen? For time to pass yet for him to not age?
It's not worrisome to me. Maybe it is to him since he has to live with it forever.
I think the rest of the west coaches are trolling the Spurs that they shoot dead the only hope them Spurs had of getting out of the west again... tiring Parker even more...![]()
15 non-starters better than Manu? No way. And Manu is not an all star anymore, why are you talking about Manu? Of course there will be better SGs than Manu, the man plays 25 minutes per game (while the others SGs must play 28-32 minutes per game) and TP plays 30-32 per game..
The red part, scoring doesn't always mean you are carrying the team, o.
He has been bad I agree, but IMO the only snub that can take his All Star spot is Cousins. I do support TP though he at least tries to play with injuries, and ST doesn't give him the credit he deserves. I guess people aren't used to seeing tough foreigners on this team

Parker's impact statistics are mediocre this year. Big difference compared to last year.
TD has a terrible November(started slow) but he's been better than Parker ever since. Here's their numbers from December to February:
Duncan: 17 ppg/11 rpg/2 bpg on 52%
Parker: 17.4 ppg/6 apg on 48%
He's tired? Then why the did he play for France after a long post-season last year? FIBA tournaments are a joke with low attendances and ty tv viewership. It's insulting that he chose to prioritize a minority fanbase in his own country over the hundreds of thousands of Spur fans in San Antonio. Now he's resting on company time instead of earning his paycheck. Even worse, it puts even more strain on 38 year old Duncan to continue carrying the team.
Definitely not mentally tough. TP was choking against the Lakers all the way back in 2004. Fast-forwad ten years later and he's still disappointing Spur fans with his inability to step up in the post-season. 15 ppg on 40% in the Finals. Weak numbers from a first option "MVP candidate"
closed mem out last year in playoffs went for over 30
tonight he was great in a must win game
