compare their game 7 performances, or 4th quarter performances throughout the series

what gives you that impression?
Duncan is and you know it.
what gives you that impression?
Hypocrisy at it's finest, Kobe hasn't won a playoff series either without you know who. Nary that you parroting Kobe shirtlifter.
Duncan is and you know it.
Kobe: 2
Daddy: 1
where did you get that idea from?
Kobe 23-15-2-1-0 4to on 6-24/0-6/11-15
Pau 19-18-4-0-2 1to on 6-18/0-0/7-13
Duncan is as you know it.
Ultimate point is Manu had little impact on the defensive end since he was hidden on Prince (an average offensive player) while Bowen was tasked with guarding Hamilton/Billups, so he had more energy for offense. Duncan was in the trenches against the league's best defensive player and Rasheed, a great post defender in his own right. Short of Shaq, put any other big from that time (KG, Amare, Brand, Yao) in there and the Spurs probably get swept.
And think about this, Shaq, still near prime, averaged only 7.6 boards against the Pistons in the series prior (ECF).
Manu was definitely the offensive MVP, but I don't think anyone can argue that he was the overall MVP.
Big Daddy heavy lifting Kobe: 3
Kobe trying to get out of Greyson & costing Daddy a ring: 1
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Timmy guy, and he did work on the other end (and was still the leading scorer to boot). I guess a lot of Tim's contributions were subtle, and I was admittedly 13 during that Finals, so I probably didn't appreciate those as much. i just remember the turning points of the games/series and it was rarely tim at the forefront of those
what gave you that idea?
You've nary room. Tim Duncan is as well.
Duncan is a sexual and you know it.
12 of ing 41
where are you getting that notion from?
Tim Duncan in a nuts .
lol no. Duncan outrebounded both Wallaces combined in one of those games, and oh yeah he was being guarded by possibly one of the greatest defensive PF/C combo in NBA history so I'll give him a pass. And lol using TS% on a big man who shoots ~70% from the line and shoots no three pointers to try to make it seem worse. Your idol has shot 38%, 40%, and 42% in his last three appearances![]()
I guess you don't remember him taking over in the 3rd quarter in Game 7?
Shaq's Finals Stats:
2000: 38/16.3/2.3/2.7
(Pts, Reb, Asst, Blk)
2001: 33/15.8/4.8/3.4
2002: 36.3/12.3/3.8/2.8
Finals MVP is for the entire series
Kobe 29/8/4/2/1 4to on 41/32/88 45eFG/53TS
Pau 19/12/4/1/3 2to on 48/0/72 48eFG/56TS
Manu was offensively the best performer of that series, but bad news for him was that there was only one D'Antoni in the league back then![]()
