76ers makes the most sense to me. I'd think he'll resign with the Spurs though. But they'd have a good young lineup with Patty.

    PG Michael Carter-Williams
    SG Patty Mills
    SF James Anderson
    PF Thaddeus Young
    C Nerlens Noel

Obviously Patty would guard PGs and MCW would guard 2 guards.

Beli didn't play. Cojo was initiating the offense after Tony went out. You can get by with two shorties for stretches of time. If you wanted to set up a backcourt for your team, though, you'd want the players to be the right size, even if the roles were different than expected.

That's sounds great in theory and it probably does work most of the time, but there are always exceptions. Remember how the '10 mavericks used 6 foot "shorties" JJ Barea and Jason Terry as their bench backcourt to give the heat fits? And neither one really played the "traditional" point guard role. , Barea was so effective against the heat they moved him into the starting lineup and he proceeded to eat them alive. I could envision Patty Mills doing the exact same thing.

Get real. Spurs would be mad not to sign up Mills. He is popular with Spurs fans. The NBA is about entertainment and money is paid for putting bums on seats. Only 2 teams make the finals out of how many ?? Yet they all pay big salaries. It is unlikely to be the Spurs in the finals even if the team was fit but good luck to them. Mills was a cheap buy $1,133,950 for the year; Duncan commands ten times that, Diaw more than 3 times that. How much revenue they generate for the owners and club justifies those figures. If the club finds it economic to pay Parker $12,500,000.000 . They could easily accommodate Mills for a few seasons. He is a healthy, solid loyal club player. Its about money ; winning the final is a bonus.

Patty was a damn good college player also... and also has very impressive international resume too.

Situational pairing of smalls. Also, teams will think twice about signing Patty, or should. What exactly has Barea done since? He was in the right situation, with the right players to play off.

This is just the same nonsense you regurgitated earlier, reworded. I gave you solid evidence that the "right situation" doesn't always apply according to your rigid definition. I really can't help you if you refuse to acknowledge/see it.
