If he's feeling good enough to play, I could see him playing 10 minutes or so on Wednesday before getting 5 days of rest over the All-Star weekend.

Edit: then again, what would be the point? By not playing until after the All-Star break he could get 3 more days of rest.

It wouldn't make sense to bring him to Detroit if he wasn't going to play on the trip. IMO Manu's either ahead of schedule or there's some legitimate injury concern with Marco/TP and they're bringing him back early.

yea i thought maybe it would be like a warm up game before getting rest, but it just seems so odd they would bring him back earlier. maybe he is just healthy enough where he can travel with the team and wants the camaraderie. i know sometimes even if guys are hurt they will still attend the pre-game shoot around

Great news. Manu has been a notoriously slow healer, so him coming back this soon should mean that his leg has rebounded nicely from the strain. There is no way the Spurs would rush him back to play even with injuries to other players, so this should mean that he is pretty damn close to 100%. Saying all this, I still don't want him to play tonight.
