Come on now, there were SEVERAL reasons and people involved in that epic chokejob to end all chokejobs.
    - Manu missed the FT. Thought this was supposed to be clutch
    - Manu was taking siesta on the floor as Ray Ray was forcing OT
    - Manu turned the ball over down 1 with 44.9 seconds left in OT
    - Manu turned it over again down 1 with 2.4 seconds left in OT

Blew the Spurs' championship just like in 2006

I think some of the blame for the injuries is because guys are continuously playing out of position. That's why it was important for the Spurs to sign a backup SF in the off season or a guy that could play SF/PF, so then everyone else could play their normal positions.

Coming back with the same team even when you win a championship isn't a great idea, as you should be looking to upgrade as everyone else will be gunning for you, but when you lose in the finals, bringing the same team back without upgrades is even stupider.

I think with the proper Luduvico Technique, I'll one day appreciate this performance.

why was Tony sitting on the bench on that play? was he in foul trouble or Pop being Pop?

I ain't disputing he choked because he did but how about Kawhi missing a FT? How about TD on the bench in the closing moments? How about not grabbing a rebound that should've been easily coralled? How about Gary Neal letting a scrub with one ing shoe get open to hit a three over him? All those things happened in the 4th quarter. The whole team the bed and it still pisses me off. These recent injuries, which further s our chances for later down the road, just re-opens that wound for me.

8 TO to possibly the best transition player of all-time. If Manu tears his ACL in shootaround the Spurs win that game by 10.

Everybody injured besides Tony gets a week off. Should see many healthy bodies in LA and then Portland.

Parker was completely worthless in Game 7. Moved about as well as Eddy Curry that night.

Because he about as effective as De Colo. Pop's only move was to play Manu and pray for no more count to potatoe turnovers.

I ain't ignoring those points about Manu like you're ignoring the other TRUE points about that game. Let's be real, here. Bonner could've played the final minute and we still would've won the game if not for any ONE of those events from happening in the 4th...things that were within OUR control.

who would you have handled the ball in his absence though? not that it could've been any worse.

Manu actually had a good game for 3 1/2 quarters, so I understood the rationale... but, you need all your horses to beat the defending champs, tbh...

Manu had three chances to win the game and one chance to blow it, and he screwed up the first three and took full advantage on the last one when was sleeping as the Spurs lost their le to Ray Ray.

FWIW, none of this stuff was brought up during the contract extension negotiation... just letting you all know, tbh...

(EDIT: this dig is obviously aimed at HI-FI that keeps telling me I'm his rep )

Neal, Joseph, or Mills. Horrible options I know, but Manu played too stupid to trust against James who just loves picking off re passes for easy transition points. Every time he touched the ball I knew he was going to throw a horrible pass, and he pretty much did.
