Blair just gets eviscerated in the post-season when teams have multiple games to break down film and every possession is important. They would go right at him every time and he's repeatedly shown that's he's incapable of guarding anyone with size.
and unfortunately the exact same can be said about Bonner

Bonner is currently our 3rd big off the bench, after Diaw and Ayres. It's not a big deal that he's weak defensively. Blair started for us. That's a huge difference.

Meanwhile, Tiago is an excellent defender, and even though he's been hurt this season, when he is on the floor this team is very stout defensively.
DUMB.blair never played playoff basketball. keep saying same homer trash, tiago blows in playoffs. see finals...WORTHLESS. didn't need signed period

I bet that seemed so much more controversial in your mind than it appears here. Must be a huge letdown.

He played in 36 playoff games for us in the playoffs. Averaged 3.8 points per game, and <3 rebounds per. Got anything else, or would you like to bow out of this discussion after making it plainly obvious that you haven't follows Spurs basketball?

    Not much diffrence tbh
Much difrence contract wise and that's what matters at the end of the day. You pay 36m for a more productive player then a 1m player. Correct your boy if I'm wrong? Simple mathematics mane.

Maybe not Blair but Robin Lopez was available and Blatche. I don't know why mother as be in his jock so hard. Dude soft as toilet tissue mane. I give it to him he does well in certain areas but he ain't worth the money. The dude getting paid Duncan money. But I'm not going to argue it debate te because he isn't going anywhere so I just get use to it.

Tiago has something that Blair doesn't. Post moves. Bigs who only shoot floaters aren't as important to a team as bigs who have height and legitimate post moves.
    Height, tbh.

Opposing front lines get season high numbers against Dirk and Blair. Advanced stats don't make up for that.

I hope you get warped to an alternate universe where Blair is your starting C/PF while Nowitzki and Aldridge keep shooting jumpers over you

out of control spin move, blocked about a foot from the rim. out of control spin move, blocked about a foot from the rim. open path, jump too soon, stuffed by the rim. out of control spin move, blocked about a foot from the rim. repeat.

And Tiago does not get 3 fouls in the first 3 minutes he comes in a game. Blair is a foul machine.
