Pacers: Was the annoiting of Paul George premature?

George is in a difficult position, tbh..

Hibbert can't score on his own, the starting PG can't dribble and Lance Stephenson is a high-usage player that doesn't play an efficient style of basketball..

David West is the only other player that can consistently create for himself, but he's getting old, tbh..

George was overhyped earlier in the year by many, myself included, but he's far better than he has shown recently, and unlike most perimeter stars, he actually impacts the game defensively..

I agree. great points, Harlem. He was not good defensively late or for most of this game. As Pacers continued to brick and Mavs started to pull away a bit George, Hill and Lance all started to gamble recklessly. Putting one of the best FT shooting teams in the bonus early in the 4th.

If that is how they will react vs. the Mavs ...don't see how this team can beat the Heat. And he (PG) has some ways to go to be solid at that#3 spot. He may be there but only because Paul was hurt. And Blake has been very impressive lately as well. As someone else said he is on a tier with the all-stars; Dirk, Blake, LMA etc.

As for pg he is definitely struggling. he has to stop settling for jumpers and attack the rim. He also has to get back to attacking the rim aggressively on fast breaks instead of the euro step lay he does. They'll be fine

I used to think my Irving as the PG version of PG, but now it seems more like PG is the SF/SG version of Irving. Dude deserves credit for carrying his team to their current position, which can been viewed as an extension of PG and the team's superb form from last season's WCF, but Paul George by himself is just a borderline superstar... an upgraded Josh Howard, a cheap man's kevin Durant.

And it also seems that the team has suffered setbacks since they acquired Bynum, for some reason...

some people expect too much out of him, he's a great player and can do it on both ends. He will never be on the level of those two, but he can be close and win anyway. Not soon though.

LeBron is banging on the doors to GOAT-hood and Durant is one of the best offensive players the league has ever seen. PG is a great player but it's unfair to hold him to their level
