Both these pieces by Bill Simmons and Doug Eberhardt along with the Steve Nash do entary have moved me to tears. This man should finish off his career either back in Phoenix or in his hometown of Toronto where the fans will give him the proper sendoff ala Mariano / Jeter. Both Phoenix and Toronto are going to make the playoffs too and he could play a nice role as a locker room leader for these young teams or perhaps in spot minutes at backup PG.
He is dying on the Lakers. Lakerfans look at him with hate due to how much they are paying him, and how much they gave up in draft picks for him. Admittedly, he hasn't done anything for the fan base of LA, but he has for the league and deserves to be in a market that will give him a standing O for every appearance he makes here as he wraps up his career.
Man is a champion. Just not in the NBA le sense.....

The plan was for Nash to make millions and work on his acting career in la.
If he would have quit ing around here having his fun he may have rung, but, he bought into this MO they are still running to this day and now he wants to say " o" when it is time to say "good bye."
I've no sympathy for him. Ye reap what ye sow. Ringin' ain't fun. It's miserable work. He knew that, but, had no gumption to live it.
at home?
Absolutely.
How funny would it be if LA traded Nash back to PHX for 4 additional first rounders
- oh wait...

Poor Nash getting paid 10 million to do nothing![]()
Sure, they turned Len into Lurch.
Glad we beat Nash all those years but it sucks that he never won a le. Ah well, he can join Chuck, Ewing, Malone, etc. in the ringless superstars club.
^Yep, those years we was buddies, Bud. I was lovin' me some Dunc, some compost and some house rolls. You guys pulled my fat from the fryer on many occasion.
Danka.
Sounds like Nagin amirite?

Though he captured the hearts of fat sportswriters when they were handing him MVPs.
I wish he would get traded he has definitely let down Kobe who is god by being useless dead weight on the laker's future.
The Lakers stole that wonder kid Marshall from the Suns last year as a fine compensation for the rip-off deal they did with Phoenix the year before (4 picks for the dead corpse of Steve Nash), imho
The only time he could have ever won one was when Stoudemire and Diaw got suspended in 07. Otherwise, he always had the teammates and didn't deliver.
Nash ....... non healthy ass ....... im back es
he's a born loser, only a born loser doesn't play D in his entire career and is fine with just losing every year. I don't see why would you like to put him away from his comfort zone..
