I'm a foreigner so I'm genuinely asking this question, tbh. Google uses "An Danish-American" instead of "A Danish-American" but what I learned from school tells me quite the opposite, and when such a conflict happens I always tend to believe the American website rather than a chinese school, but after reading the whole thing I become even more confused.
It appears, according to Google, that our Goddess has already got married to Romain Dauriac but I haven't heard of any news about her wedding, did I miss something?
And no matter which grammar is correct, how the did our Goddess become a (or an) Danish American in the first place? She was born in NY so she's 100% a natural American, and I think that such terms like Danish-American are often used to refer to those foreign born immigrants, or am I wrong again?

Ever been to Gongdu? an before a vowel and a before a consonant is the basic rule but in this situation it seems either would work as the D sound in Danish has both vowel enunciation. I think A is more appropriate but with how screwy English rules are, it may not be the 'correct' one. But what do I know? I was taught English in Medellin and Caracas.

There's exceptions to the rule. This is English after all. Nothing makes sense.
I also have a lot in common with Goddess like, we both have obsessive characters[1], and although I was not born in NY, my hometown is at the exact same la ude as NY and also located on the eastern coast of a huge continent. And we even look similar in some way, my facial figure is just like that of Goddess, fleshy cheeks and full lips etc...

A hint, try not to use new words the main account holder probably never even knew existed. This isn't even a subtle change.
This rule does make sense, though.
The a/an distinction exists only to make the language flow better when spoken, so it's determined by how words sound rather than how they're spelled. "An" always precedes a word that begins with a vowel sound. "A" always precedes a word that begins with a consonant sound. That's why we say/write "an hour" and "a one hundred dollar bill."
That's what I thought but I wasn't 100%. Hour, honor, etc all sound like a vowel. So based on that rule is it "A Danish" or "An Danish"?
