Last night during her coming out speech at an LGBTQ youth conference in Las Vegas, Ellen Page talked about the crushing weight of Hollywood beauty standards. She mentioned specifically an article about her on E!'s web site, which was "mysteriously" pulled offline afterward.
"I try not to read gossip as a rule," Page said. "But the other day a web site ran a picture of me wearing sweatpants on the way to the gym. And the writer asked 'why does this pe e beauty insist on dressing like a massive man?'" As Kia Makarechi of the Huffington Post pointed out on Twitter today, that line comes verbatim from a January 8 article on Eonline.com in which the writer says he's "starting to wonder if the former Juno star is actually homeless." He also noticed that the article is no longer online.
Further, per Makarechi, E!'s article on her speech mentions those remarks in vague terms, saying that Page "shared that she faced an inner struggle because she was in the Hollywood spotlight." Unlike various pieces — like ones in The Hollywood Reporter, The Los Angeles Times, and The Guardian — E!'s article did not quote Page directly on the matter, nor did E! mention its culpability at all.
This is true. And nobody has called her on it. She had that commercial gig for awhile, though even that company name escapes me now.

Her career is not in a slump. it has followed a pretty regular pattern. Arthouse success and some indie-type stuff no one sees bookended by supporting roles in blockbusters.The new X-Men movie is coming out Memorial day and in October she signed up for the lead in another comic book movie for Fox.

's career is indeed in a slump if you know how highly she was rated when she first hit the main silver screen in the mid-late 2000s. was cute as back then imho, getting nominated for Oscar when she was in teens. I think her career could've easily gone along a similar track as Pigface Lawrence's but apparently her bowlegs and those gay rumors counted against her odd of success. So now, instead of continuing to pretend as a straight, comes out and the heavy burden is instantly lifted off her shoulders. I think this will turn out to be either a blessing or a curse to her career. Conservatives will excoriate her ruthlessly, while on the contrary liberals will adore her bravery and begin to love her even more. California is a liberal state so the chance of it turning out a blessing will outweigh the opposite, imho

She was the chick in Juno, also she was in Super if you ever saw it. Her first movie was probably her best, it was called Hard Candy I think.

also starred in DiCaprio's well received film Inception, imho. Damn it, was so cute even I (a lifelong celibate) would feel tempted to hug and kiss that if I encountered her in the real life tbh. A younger version of Page was cute as and even the current one ain't too bad IMHO, and like most sexual es, she will age gracefully (like Becky Hammon). If Goddess is 10/10, then I'd generously give Page as high as a 4, tbh (with most hollywood es below 3)

my shadowflames corrected me, imho. Page and Hammon are too small a sample size, but I believe that virginity helps them sexuals maintain their looks, to some extent (assuming most of them are virgins). Sex might be fun but also speeds up the aging process, imho.
