really???
Corporate sponsorship is great and all, but maybe don't always give it to the highest bidder. I mean, it's hard enough to take that team seriously, being named the Pelicans and wearing those godawful unis. And now they play in the Smoothie King CenterHow desperate for money do you have to be to give your arena sponsorship away to Smoothie King?
They're trying to make themselves the laughingstock of the NBA imo. There's no other explanation.
I like it.
would another national bank arena or another commercial airlines arena be better? or what about another cell phone corporation arena???
I'll take Smoothie King!
I used to buy their overpriced crap all the time![]()
something that sounds even remotely dignified would do better. As it is, not even Kobe and Duncan 69-ing is as gay as the Pelicans playing at the Smoothie King Center.
And bring Pastor Manning back, goddammit!

Yeah, it was one of their sugar loaded protein shakes. That was addicting tbh.
I would have also supported names such as ....
Cash Money Records Arena
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Center
Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers Fieldhouse
Ruth's Chris Steakhouse Arena
etc, etc.
I guess we're fortunate they didn't call it the "Frost King Center". Think how that would go over.
lol chicken fingers fieldhouse...det made me chuckle
Sleep Train Arena is a kickass name for Arco Arena. Why not go back to New Orleans Arena?
the chocolate gladiator with peanut butter and bananas
Sure, no problem. Send them the sponsorship money and have them change it. They were owned by the ing NBA just a couple years ago. They were about to leave the state. Who cares what they call their arena, whoever pays gets the name.
That's ironic, that's what Howard calls his penis, I've heard.
Isn't that the drink that has more combined calories than the large double whopper value meal?
Should have sold the naming rights to New Orleans own Wagner's Meat Market.
And then have their slogan plastered all over the stadium, "You can't beat Wagner's meat."
Oh and I haven't had a smoothie from Smoothie King in about 5 years. Miss them tbh. You can get a smoothie up here in Michigan at ice cream places or coffee shops, but they're not the same thing.
