It was clear from the start that the East cared more about the game then the West. I would too if the conference was that much inferior.
I think it was by design. He does not wanted to play more minutes and does not give a shot about that game...

This is the worst one imo.
not playing the fan favorite because you're trying to win
still losing
Kevin Love -17
Anthony Davis +7
Of course as soon as Kobe leaves the team the west loses. It's obvious you can't rely on career losers like rocket and clipper players.
Mighty with the goods...without Kobe in the aforementioned losers rifle sights they'll lose interest all of the time instead of most of the time.
Trying hard in the ASG.
It was actually Durbeta who choked the All-Star Game away, but since he's Lakerfan's new hope to beat LeBron, they'll be deflecting it to everyone else, tbh....
Both Paul and Durant. when Lebron and Noah took away the Lob game Paul dribbled away time with no where to go. Curry's bricks did not help either. Also Beard forced a couple step backs. Plenty of blame to go around.
East scrubs????
the East has probably more top talent that are more all around ball players and better defenders. The West "stars" have the defense of a gaping vagine
Ethiopian, Harden, Blake, Curry, CP3 defense
The West is just superior in team building and mid-level talent
East definitely has more athletic ballers ...for an ASG.
West bench proven winners: Dirk, Parker and to some extent Howard
East bench: Wall, De rozen, Hibbert
Young hungry players with to prove ...
^ Only Dirk, LeBron and Wade are proven winners, tbh... after games 6 and 7 of last year's Finals, Hero ain't part of that list....
rest of these ing amateurs are the future of the NBA...christ...
Case in point on the deflecting
CP3, Curry, and Harden didn't chuck up 17 threes, nor were they so obsessed with getting the MVP to actively freeze out the hot hand (Blake) in order to artificially deflate his scoring numbers
Durbeta chokedPERIOD.... he talked all that about LeBron, but when the game got tight, he was the one shooting 2-8 in the fourth quarter and trying too hard for the MVP instead of putting on a show for the fans like everybody else and passing the ball....
Second-place choker goes to Harden for his idiotic foul on Paul George....
Wall, Irving, Paul George, Lebron, Hibbert
this team could pretty much rape any team the West could muster in a serious game
Curry spent the entire game trying to lose. I cannot believe the best shooter in the game put up those numbers with zero defense being played against him. Defining moment imo.
Tim Duncan would have saved the West, only to miss a game winning layup in the final possession.
I said they all deserved blame I did not exemt, durant. He missed some shots and he obviously wanted to win and lost. Same as Paul who did not shoot much but dribbled around with no place to go reminded me of the end of the Grizz series tbh ...
that's why a C3P0 led team will never go anywhere. this man's game is easily neutralized and he just sucks up too much clock time with his stupid dribbles
clippers
Not a shining moment. aS the TNT guys said he is much better off the dribble. it's like he forgot how to shoot without the dribble game. Melo on the other hand proved he could still hit without it ...
That is one part that resembles Kobe, Kobe doesnt shoot as well without the bounce either ...
LOL at Kobe talking about the 3pt contest in 2015 ...he would suck at it.
The other 4 are replaceable, but Lebron isn't.
Example:
Wade, Melo, Bosh, Lebron, Noah could rape any team the West could muster in a serious game
The only reason this is true is because both Tim and Kobe are way past their primes. LMA and Lillard are good but neither will overcome their assignment on defense. Howard is a huge liability mentally and at the FT line (for example him taking at long ass 3pt attempt in a tight game situation).
The bulk of the talent in the East is concentrated on two teams (obviously). There are scattered talents however they don't equate to team wins.
In the West, you have an older Dirk, Duncan and Kobe who together with CP3 and Lillard probably destroy anyone in the league including James, in their primes.
You never know. It's about getting hot at the right moment. Of course, now the Spurs should win the le because, after all, they have 3 HOFers, a HOF coach, the Finals record 3pt holder and the defending 3pt champion. No excuses.
Wall/Irving > today's Wade
Melo is too much of a chucker and has no D
Bosh is a great glue guy big no doubt. But he's no monster like Hibbert
but yeah in the end the Heat's big 3 plus 2 of Hibbert/George/Wall/Irving would pretty much decimate anything from the West![]()
Kirby would chuck that team out of it, tbh....
I don't think so. With all the deriding that we do, we still have to admit he was a handful for teams when he was in his prime. Playing along side those guys, he wouldn't need to score that often.
It cannot happen, but I'd like to see it. In fact, I'd like to see the AS game mean something so that it's played from start to finish to win the damn thing instead of 3 quarters of shoot around and about .5 quarters of real basketball. We know people can dunk, but we want to see how they match up. That gives us a glimpse of what the NBA should be, instead of this watered down league where decent talent is treated like a rare commodity.
He chucked a team with Payton, Malone (albeit injured), and Prime Shaq out of a championship.... being on a stacked team and "not needing to score that often" hasn't stopped him before![]()
He did ok in the Olympics
