The first 10-day contract of Sasha Vujacic expired and the Los Angeles Clippers decided not to sign the veteran guard to another deal.Doc Rivers said the Clippers will wait until after the Thursday trade deadline to sign a player to a 10-day contract.
Rivers did not say whether the player would be Vujacic.
“You don’t want to have the extra contract,” Rivers said. “You may need the [roster spot]. I don’t think anything is going to happen, honestly. But you just never know."

players on 10-day contract ain't eligible for the playoffs. _oc Rivers will probably give him another 10 day trial before making the decision whether or not to sign him to the end of the season (so he'd be able to play for monkeyball in the playoffs) as a backup and an insurance for Re .
