No way it's the biggest in history, it's just magnified by 1000 because of the situation. Said this the other day but think about it in terms of all the NBA games you've ever watched. A 5 pt game with 28 seconds left would still be considered "winnable." Not likely, but winnable.

it wasn't "just another game"

it was game 6 of the NBA Finals and the clincher for the Spurs. The entire season was in vain because of the chokejob in those 28 seconds.

I wasn't a missed shot, or a missed rebound. It was 2 missed free throws, 2 missed rebounds. The 2 BIGGEST rebounds of the year, missed. The 2 BIGGEST free throws of the year, missed. Tell me which other chokejob such as this cost a team the championship?

Lol, in sports history? 2013 spurs was the nba equivalent of the 2011 Texas Rangers, who were 1 pitch away from winning it, freese, like ray allen, hit a clutch bat and took it to a game 7 where the cards won. But i don't see anyone call that the worst choke in history. Worst in sports in the 04 Yankees. They had that wrapped up with a 3-0 lead. They had a freaking curse that benefited their side.

I'll tell you though, Elm,,,it did not feel right or regular at 3-0 then. You could feel it, smell it....it wasn't right.

But, you're on contact. It was a disaster and one they've never really recovered from. It sent them and Boston topsy-turvy. Now Boston is topsy and New York is turvy.
