Awesome for the Ravens. They go from a team who could keep everyone they really wanted a maybe pick up a bargain FA or two to a team that can be legitimate buyers if they want.

Very nice. Houston has some players on the roster that are making too much money that they were going to have to possibly cut. Perhaps they can keep them now.

Yup...give Ozzie even 1 dollar more in cap room and he'll make miracles...can't wait to see what they do this offseason.

This won't make too much a difference. Will just drive up rates for free agents

Everyone predicting that Flacco's contract would kill the Ravens

    Ozzie is a beast, tbh....

Don't have to, Ozzie's track record of excellence gives him the benefit of the doubt.

Now that reports have put the salary cap as high as $132 million for 2014, the same source has said, once again, it will be higher.Per the source, the cap could be a “few million” higher than $132 million. If this means $3 million more than reported, the cap could be as high as $135 million. That would amount to an 9.75 percent increase over last year, the biggest e by far since the 2011 labor deal was negotiated.

this is more useful for teams that were above the cap that suddenly don't need to make any cuts. for teams like Oakland with spending money, its just gna drive up the prices for FA's..

that assumes your team wants to spend all its capspace this year but they'd be foolish to have that mindset.

not about my team specifically. in general, i dont think teams that had money to throw around are going to benefit as much as some think. this helps teams like baltimore, seattle though. teams that are planning on spending are now going to have a more difficult time outbidding since everybody has more spending money

The champs are still gonna cut some...gotta pay for Bennett and Tate. Maybe go for a OL, too. Also gotta pay the acoustic people for their wonderful job at the CLink.

Joseph, Daniels, and Manning can all get the out. Brice McCain too.

luckily for the hawks, their QB is still dirt cheap. He's eligible for food stamps, if I'm not mistaken.

Seriously, the Ravens need some more Texans cast-offs. Daniels and Manning would be awesome.

Leach was obviously hard to let go. Jacoby Jones' underproduction was a product of a ty special teams' coach. Manning, Joseph, and Daniels are all old and can't stay healthy. Plus Joseph sucks now no matter the defensive scheme.

I'm fine with Baltimore squeezing the last year or two of good production out of them like they did with Pollard.

Yeah, 2015 is when the costs go up--that's when Sherman, Wilson, and Thomas are due mad money...

Not a fan. If Evans, Watkins and Ebron are off the board, I wouldn't want then Ravens to draft a pass-catcher until 27 or so. Too many good players available to reach.

But you want to spend free agent money on Daniels?
