i keel you
Pretty clear he isn't going anywhere in the foreseeable future...
Any guesses on how much are the Spurs going to pay him to retain him over the summer? I would suspect he would want a raise?
At this point, all jokes aside, I honestly would not be surprised if the Spurs retire his number, tbh..
Dude is back on a veteran's minimum next season..
Maybe he retires and goes out on top with Timmy and Pop tbh. Would only be fitting for a Spur legend.
$14.5M/2 years ?
It seems to be the norm for scrubs.
He'll be in the FO, tbh. Not even joking.
I see what you did there![]()
shots fired tbh.
If a scrub like Sean Marks can be an assistant coach, can somebody seriously tell me that Matt can't own the team tbh?
CoP vs CoM at its roots
I actually do think he becomes a coach or at least part of the FO. He really loves living in San Antonio.
Don't turn this into another CoP vs CoM thread, plz... this is a serious matter, tbh...
He's an union guy though... would be in a difficult position crossing the fence...
And btw.. lol at RCB trolling the entire Spurs fandom all season since last year. Everyone expected Bonner to go a) before salary guarantee, b) at trade deadline in offseason, c) all season and d) at trade deadline mid season.
Dude has more staying power than cats have nine lives.
Red Rocket for the win.
Unless Pop can trade up for McDermott, Bonner is gonna get the max we can afford tbh...
I think he'll stay if he wants. He's a huge part of the Spurs culture. Basketball-wise, he's a scrub. But marketing-wise, he is one of the Big Four.
Technically, anything signed in the summer would be a new contract, not an extension.
Seriously, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him retained. 2yrs/4m with very little, if anything, guaranteed in the second year.
Taking a pay cut isn't out of the discussion... how old is he gonna be?
Pop traded a Spurs legend like Bowen or "his favorite player" GHill but he can't part with Bonner, provides him with stuff nobody can replicate...
thanks
Bonner's an icon, a natural one and not a manufactured one like Bowen. He'll be commentating games when Sean retires. If he's not running the team.
