I agree. That should be the way the issue is phrased though. Not that he hit a woman. It should be just as big of a deal if it were Michael Sam and his boyfriend.
mah nig.
Well I disagree, but I get your point. It's like hitting a child in most cases. In fact, most 16 your old boys could probably physically beat a grown woman. Doesn't make it ok (from a physical perspective) for Ray Rice to uppercut a 16 year old boy.
If that boy hits him it does. But anyway, grown women aren't children. They shouldn't be lumped together. That's chauvinistic thinking. She's a adult who's old enough to be held responsible for her actions.
Not really. I think people, especially younger ones, know right from wrong. Young is just an excuse. Also, just because someone is mentally on part/emotionally mature, doesn't mean they are physically. When you have the power to hurt someone, it doesn't give you the right. That person shoulders more of the responsibility.
It's not chauvinistic at all IMO. I was 16. While I wasn't as learned as I am now, I still knew what I was doing.
That's anecdotal. There has to be an age line somewhere 14, 16, 21, whatever.. But there shouldn't be a gender line. A man can defend himself. It's chauvinistic to believe a woman doesn't bear most responsibility for initiating violence. Men don't have to watch out for women. People have to watch out for each other. She chose to make their exchange physical. That's her fault. Is Rice wrong too? To some extent, yeah. Does he bear most of the blame? no.
A man does not hit a woman, you throw them away from you. While women are strong in the legs they totally pale in comparsion in the upper body. Please save that powerlifter, talking 99% of women. Any man who slugs a woman is a chicken , there is never an excuse that justifies hitting a woman. If she has a weapon you run.
And, we don't know these guys at all, what we see on Sundays means.....0. I played high school football with a guy named Von Gentry, cat never said a word, very cool. He'd kill a man and mutilate him some years later.
Meanwhile, Von Gentry is somewhere right now telling people about playing football with a guy named Avante that never said a word and seemed cool, but raped pre-teen Asian girls some years later..
Let's break that down....
My real name is Larry, so...wrong!
Do you honestly believe in a bar full of grown up women with developed bodies anyone would be interested in 12 year old little girls? Are you saying those bars hired 12 years old....hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, do you know about anything at all? You come off as a grade A moron.
TMZ just released the whole Rice video. Damn.
http://www.tmz.com/2014/09/08/ray-ri...g-punch-video/
Rice would have missed the season had this come out earlier.
Should've dropped that molly--this wouldn't have happened. But, I wouldn't be surprised if Rice gets additional penalties.
What a piece of trash! Rice should be suspended for the year!
Why the is everyone so butthurt about the new video? It just confirms what everyone ing knew. We already knew he knocked his out cold in the elevator so why is there another outrage about this video?
yes 2 games ain't enough but that was said prior to this video as well
Anyway you look at it--Goodell is going to take a major hit and so is the NFL. Though they claim to not have seen the video (I doubt that...), they could've been more heavy handed to prevent the inevitable backlash that is coming.
Validation. I mean, sure we knew he knocked her out but in this age of ocular verification, it makes it more resonant. Probably still tied in with the fact he got less time than Wes "Glowsitck" Welker got for droppin' some molly.
