I'm not a typical Laker fan, I'm also a fan of Lebron and the Heat. I think that's rare amongst Laker fans.

    what happened to this guy...

This is a message from a real Laker fan, a fan that's been following the game many years, not just since the Gasol trade. I didn't know where to post it, so I hope it's ok that I'm posting it here.

I just wanted to congratulate your Spurs for such an amazing run at the NBA le since 1999. Alot of Laker fans are talking trash and disregarding you, but I know better than that. Your team has been giving me heart-attacks since the 4-0 sweep in 99'.

Every single time I know we are facing the Spurs I lose sleep, I get nervous, and I cringe when the games about to begin because I know how damn consistant your Spurs are and have been for nearly a decade now.

So all I really wanted to say is I hope you guys aren't too down about the series loss, we as Laker fans have been dealing with that 'rebuilding' phase for many years now so it's an honor to be back at this level for the fans that stuck by this team throughout the harshest of times.

So here's to a few more heart attacks in the next few years with the Lakers V Spurs, see you guys then.
...other than his team going to ?

I'm watching it. My heart wants the Lakers to kick their asses. But the more we lose the better our chances to grab a nice player.

What do you think of KButter? He looks like at least a solid backup for us. I hope he sticks around tbh.

Non sense, our empire "ended" in 2005 as well. Spurs fans rejoiced and won les.

All great things take time, a second can last an eternity. Just like the ball in the air during 0.4 or 28

LOL GO FIGURE, probably a Heat fan now and were an LA fan in the 00's..... I bet you root for the Heat now mostly since your team got swept last year and they are utter this year and out of the playoffs.

Nah, I'm not buying it. There has to be opportunity and right now there is none. We went on a le drought from 1988 until 2000. After Shaq left, there were some lean years. Then we got The Gift! from 8. There will be other deals to get us back into contention. Be patient. I am.

I'm sure Lakers will win a le eventually, but I don't see them winning 5 in a decade again. the new CBA just stuck a massive in Laker ass and fired a viral load akin to Magic or Kobe's morning protein shake.

The fact you're no longer receiving the same handouts but now Begging and Tanking, was unthinkable before this new CBA.

Wasn't handouts, numbnuts. While the ink was still wet on this current CBA, the Lakers still did the unthinkable: fleeced New Orleans and traded for CP3. We know it took your owner, Cavs, Mavs, and some other limp s out there to to Stern.

That's just an example of what I've been trying to say about MK - AKA Mitch Cupcake around these parts. He's a damn good GM. Not his fault the players he obtains goes down due to injury. But keep hoping the new CBA will stop the Lakers from rising again.
