Brown is garbage
Apparently Brown wants to stay (surprise!). I haven't been too impressed with Brown's play during this stint, so I'm glad they're checking out the buyout market before deciding on whether they'll re-sign him or not.
Don't see why they wouldn't buyout Baynes (I like the guy but Pop trust him less than Ayres so there's no point)...
I'm in favor of keeping Brown on the team for year 2 instead of overpaying Mills tbh.
So you think it's a given that they'll land someone who gets bought out? Or do you think they'll just go after random (for lack of a better word) guys like Jeffers and Brown from here on out?
The front office signed Ayers and even after ting worse than any rotation player in Spurs history, continue to play him big minutes. Bets are off on what the front office is thinking in regards to signing new players or even retaining their own.
Brown has a bad habit of holding the ball, looking to go in isolation against his defender. He doesn't have the skills to do that anymore and it doesn't fit into the Spurs motion offense. Nothing special on defense. They won 't miss him if they let his second 10 day contract expire.
I'd be shocked if they keep Brown.
Some interesting names being bought out. The Spurs have some options to think about at least.
Idk guys. I think a CoJo/Brown/Daye/Ayres/Baynes lineup could cause some damage in the playoffs.
Indeed. For us.
Brown should be gone. The Spurs need a big.
Brown played some good defense vs. Phoenix last night. I wouldn't mind keeping him. Ben Gordon would be an upgrade over him. Earl Clark or Granger would be a better fit.
No need to resign Shannon not when benos getting bought out
If not Spurs, Houston, Miami, Chicago & Knicks have shown interest in the 28-year-old guard. Brown's most productive seasons 2011-13 in Phx

This guy is just making stuff up, or just relaying stuff made up by Brown's agent. If there was a single team ready to sign Shannon Brown for the rest of the season, he'd already be signed.
Mel_13 has already said this was Brown's last day so good luck to you Mr. Brown.
hmmm, Spurs like players with 'aye' in their name
they aint signing a PG tbh
I feel like all of this "news" coming out is common sense stuff. Of course the Spurs are monitoring the market before they make a choice.
Yeah it just seems like the logical thing to due. That being said, its anyone's guess what we will do. The front office has been so difficult to guage. We should have a fair shot at Granger, MWP, or Clark (especially Granger, if its down to Miami, OKC and us).
Sign Granger and Clark and let Shannon walk.
Watch them stay small and bring back Roger Mason Jr because of his familiarity with the system.
