The Lakers will rise from the ashes again after this season. They will get the number 1 pick and God will be back at the height of his powers. God plus lottery pick = championship.
all bs aside I don't believe there's a player in the draft that can make a significant difference on the Lakers. What can make a difference however is if the Lakers trade their pick for existing players and get at least a couple mid level players out of a couple decent picks. I think Rondo will probably end up on the Lakers eventually and if he does it's possible to see either Kevin Love or some other half ass wannabe superstar suck his way over there.
Embiid is that . He's no Kareem or Shaq but if he can develop into a 20 and 10 2BPG player I'm down with that. In this era, he'd be one of the best.
Milwaukee and Philly are hard to catch though, those teams are blatantly tanking.

^This. Not only has the trolling gone stale, but there's also gotta be a wave of fresh trollable spurfan waiting to be approved as well. Kori and LJ would appreciate this fact, but the current powers that be don't realize that the clock is ticking on this forum. As soon as Duncan retires and the Spurs face darker days the main forum will become a ghost town, and the only thing that'll keep this place alive is the trolling, dog-eat-dog mentality of the NBA Forum. Those real spurfans who were excited about 2013 and 2014 will no longer be interested once their accounts get approved next year. The NFL Forum is the last bastion of sanity but that's just a relatively small clique compared to the general population.
