Godzilla was never really an interesting concept...thats why it failed so hard the last time around.
yep. along w/ Captain America 2, Edge of Tomorrow, and Spiderman2

It didn't fail.
The last one was horrible. Im sure it did well $ wise, but the film was ridiculed for being horrible and rightfully so.
Movie. Of. The. Year.
Oh please don't mess this up! I hope this is worthwhile! it. I'm going to see it anyhow!
Look awesome. Was a big Godzilla fan growing up, ty dubs and all. This seems badass "they weren't tests. they were trying to kill it." Epic line imo
Wow, this looks ing great. Pretty much the opposite of that piece of released in the 90s.
You mean you didn't like a pregnant giant lizards heartbeat slowly stopping to Matthew Broderick's gentle touch?
I nerdgasmed harder than I ever have, EVER. I haven't been looking forward to a movie this much since Dark Knight Rises tbh. I feel like a damn kid again
this is incredible. 1:08 made me smile and giddy as a mother er
lmao at :17. I thought those dangly things were some lame creatures hovering around at first
I happened to like the dopey velociraptors as a kid
So many better fantasies to make a big movie out of that hasn't been done.....
Elric of Melniborn
Thongor
Odd John....original Superman long before DC comics
Kyrik
Oron
Kothar
El Borak
Kandar
John Jones the Martian Manhuntrer
Dusty Fog Gun Wizard
Submariner
Kane
why didn't they bring back F̶e̶r̶r̶i̶s̶ ̶B̶u̶e̶l̶l̶e̶r̶ Matthew Broderick
Another thing, how great is this for Bryan Cranston? He's terrific but he'll always be stuck as Walter White, unless this thing is half as good as it looks
Before he was Walter white he was the dad from Malcolm in the middle. He's already shed one character no reason to think he can't do it again
Naturally we need a new Godzilla movie after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. This time, he might even be real!
Looks like a cool flick.
Pacific Rim stole a little of this thunder though.
pacific rim monster vs godzilla...would be awesome
like that king kong movie vs dinosaurs
I LOVED Malcolm in the Middle but it's not the same. Wasn't the main character and regardless Hal wasn't half as memorable as Walt
I don't think so. This is being advertised as pure terror, which is how it would be if a monster the size of a mountain were really wrecking shop. Pacific Rim was promoted as the typical "FUN, COOL, AND ACTION PACKED!"
I was just talking more about the most modern special effects capabilities of a giant monsters destruction on a more accurate/realistic scale. Pacific Rim captured some of that without regard for build up or suspense. The movie started with all of those images, plus it just came out last year, so those visuals are fresh in your mind.
Spoiler from sxsw ignore if you don't want to be spoiled
unlike the 90s version, Godzilla is not the only kaiju inn this movie.
