One bad year doesn't merit saying someone is done. Is Ginobili or Duncan done? Because they both had "off" years and rebounded.They are both finished as rotation players and both smallball-4s at this point, tbh..
Granger has more in the tank, but MWP seems content with reality and his current status, while reports are implying that Granger is delusional and still believes he's a key player..
Spurs acquiring Granger would imply that he's going to receive at least 20 MPG, which would hurt the Spurs, tbh..the acquisition of MWP wouldn't include a guarantee of substantial playing time..

I'm on the fence. I would actually tend to agree with you about Granger having fallen off hard, from what I can dig up and see of his play the last couple years. Exactly. Obviously his fringe All-Star days are over, but to say he's no longer a rotation player is premature. The guy missed basically a year and a half and was never an above average athlete to begin with. To think he was going to look even half decent within' a couple of months was not realistic. Whatever he has left won't truly be known until next season.
If you take aside Artest character issues, it's quite close. I would pick Granger because he is a better shooter.
If Pop is confident that he can handle Artest, he wouldn't be a bad plan B if Granger doesn't pick Spurs.
