In related news Kawhi Leonard was cleared to play in Wednesday nights game against Detroit
Your sarcasm was not needed. Saw the article online and decided to share. You go can go kill yourself.
I guess granger doesn't want to be on a contender! Oh we'll go to a team that will be out in the first round! What an idiot! He should ask Caron Butler who signed with them with the thought of them being a contender and they went nowhere in the playoffs & Caron Butler was immediately traded to a crappy team! Granger you are an idiot just like Caron Butler!
granger is so fkin stupid. dont cry when u get knocked out 2nd round playoffs idiot
I guess playing time means more than a ring. Maybe he feared he would be the next TMac here. Ah well move on win a championship that will hurt em...
One day he'll comeback like maggette, so we can cut his ass.
Granger is 30 years old and is set to become a free agent. He's not some 38 year old looking to wing a ring right before retiring. Playing time could earn him a contract
i'm sorry, but i think his injuries have taken a toll on him. , dude even lost some teeth one game.
Doc Rivers is a recruiter. He meets and greets. Pop and RC are about as personable as a couch cushion.
Doc is very personable and has a natural ability to connect with players with different types of personalities from the good to the bad. . His coaching ability has been debated by some but it is undeniable that he as an ability to connect with all walks of life and lead a nd in turn have his players buy into his approach and follow suit.
I wonder often if pop' s reluctance to deal with head cases and persons of questionable moral character has capped the team's potential. I like that about the spurs in that off the court issues matter but at the same time i want this tteam to win at all costs. Its a catch 22 and interesting debate imo.

exactly! Pop's culture is detrimental to acquiring certain kinds of players that are essential on championship teams. Sometimes you need a Kobe or another ahole to get you far
Pop needs to get over himself with that . It's bitten us in the ass many times .
I think it's because Pop relies too much on his intimidation power. For example, a lot, maybe even the majority, of strong willed and perhaps even "thug like" players respect and maybe even "fear" Pop in a basketball setting because he is a hardass and won't back down. Example, SJax (at least, for most of his time with Pop).
But if a player refuses to back down, Pop basically just washes his hands of em, case in point again being SJax.
Pop is a proud and stubborn individual. It just seems to seep through his pores. It could very well be the most significant factor to why his complexion isso hideous. But on a serious note, i like that about him to a degree. The key is that there has to be some give and take in every successful relationship. That applies to all facets of life. You should only fight the battles worth fighting. Just let the little things go. You can't draw a line in concrete on every singlle issue or disagreemente. Its an eb and flow type deal. Or in phil's philosophy a yin and yang mentality. Phil gets it. So does doc. Pop? Not so much

I don't think Granger makes much of a difference whether it is/was here or in LA. His best days are behind him.
At least we got Austin Daye lol...
yeah fk him
playAustin![]()
Shame he could have been on a contender instead of some basketball reality show.
Doesn't make much sense if really looking to play for a contender. That said they are definitely part of the top couple of plausible teams to make the finals from the west. They are also the ones most likely for him to get the most playing time. Personally I don't think that's good for him; in that due to injuries he's lost 2 and a half steps and that will be exposed with a lot of playing time in LA. With a decent amount of conditioning and some playing time I think he can get back into the role of passable starter or really good back-up. He personally hasn't hit that realization though. He's looking for a chance to get a ring this year and play his way into future contracts. In LA against starters night in and night out he'll show up as slowed considerably. Part of which will pick up a bit by years end. Coming off the bench to significant minutes would have been better. The other possibility is he sits behind mat barnes on the clippers depth chart and doesn't pass him by years end making him seem like a rather low tier player.
I understand, but at the same time, when pop goes and the spurs go ghetto, I'm not watching nba anyone. Truthis 90%of these wannabe thugs aren't complete players. Theyre overhyped and overrated by media, anyone Who has been to games knows this. Take for instance kevin Martin. Scores 20ppg in the league. He couldnt win à 3-3 basketball tournament against citizens from his hometown. Came back for years to try and win. Smh once pop goes we will not have quality characters, and no one is good enough to Watch the thuggery and crying most NBA players exhibit
Knew it. Over the past decade and a half we see free agent after free agent saying they want a chance to win a 'ship, only to join some big market team with a 2nd round ceiling while the Spurs are on the brink of winning it all year after year, these nba players are a joke.
Makes me wonder if Daye is the backup SF on the roster, who else is there left?
