Can't it be both?

Exactly what anyone with a half a brain here would say. There is no player out there who is going to come in and have a major impact on this team at this point. The playoff rotation is basically set already...
Can't it be both?
Even though I mostly blame the front office for their inability to plug a gaping hole that they've had for going on a year, good for Pop to get a dig in. I've had it with all these assholes pretending to have great respect for this organization, yet refusing to join them.
At those still banging the "they're fine, if healthy" drum. As if they're not supposed to be prepared in case of an injury. Having no true backup at a position and really four players period to cover two positions is flat out negligent.
Kawhi is young and can play 40 a game if needed in the playoffs.

Particular reason why you add the extra 'c' in 'choker'?
It is. But I think it's worded carefully.
I disagree. Sefo + Ibaka (and Durant helping as well) is the best Parker defense out there. Perkins is great at only one thing and that's post defense something he fully uses against the Spurs... I don't see how they don't qualify as a bad matchup... Even their bench is a bad matchup for ours, completely torching them with their superior D and exploiting the Mills/Beli/Manu's weak defense...
No offense but he's won 4 les, do by definition, he can't be a choker. And if losing a big game in the finals makes one a choker, then Doc Rivers and Eroc Spolestra are chokers too. In fact, so is Phil Jackson. Not many big names haven't lost in the finals.
This is a high standard. Who do we give up to get a quality small forward? To make a trade you have to give up something big to get something big (unless you are the Lakers). Probably haven't found a small forward that is worth the offer.
They're a bad matchup because they're more talented. But when evaluating strengths and weaknesses, things line up well. Just like the Spurs match up well with Miami.
Miami doesn't have a great rim protector or a good defender at the 5 to contain Duncan, imo Miami is a way better matchup... They're only bad for Manu with their focus on playing the passing lanes...
Really, had the Spurs brought Jean-Charles over (and he hadn't gotten hurt) the roster would look great right now. In retrospect, keeping him overseas makes little sense.
I'm glad Granger, Butler and the others went elsewhere. They're not going to make much of a difference any whatever team they're on. I would prefer the Spurs take a flyer on a young D-League prospect like Devin Ebanks.
And the Spurs have the defenders to match up with Durant and Westbrook. They have elite rim protection and keep their fouls down (huge). No way OKC leaving Green or Leonard open and Splitter or Diaw cutting perfect defense against Parker. And the Thunder can't play small, defend the rim and guard Duncan at the same time.
You mean the Liver guy, right?
Yeah, the defensive-specialist combo-forward. That's pretty much the role we're all complaining the team hasn't filled.
Whatever happened to Hanga?
Under a long-term contract in Spain, I belive.
pfft granger, nice "contender"
I'm not too sure about Butler's stretch 4's abilities. It wouldn't bother me giving Splitter a go at guarding him.
The goods.
You do know you missed the point, right? T's been here since the begnning. If the Spurs lose this year, it has nothing to do with missing out on a couple of "has been" scrubs. This season was lost in the offseason where they had a reasonable chance to improve and the FO their pants. You can't blame players for being old and bad at their job but you can blame a FO for not doing their due diligence to improve the team.
Doubtful.
