It's scary how confident Pop is with a Parker or mills, Ginobili, Belli trio tbh..
That Line-up would get annihilated in the playoffs. Kawhi should have room to have bad games and still play in the fourth...
Not liking how Pop over uses that trio...
You sure did. I personally thought Pop would've stopped playing him by now. If this guy keeps getting minutes once we're fully healthy, it's going to be a major concern.
lol
Tim decided to hold his presser at Cory's locker.
Cory all awkward like, come on man, really
Tim's reaction when he see's Jeff Ayres getting off the bench...
I celebrated his exit as if we had won the WCF again. Bonner leaves and it'll be almost as good as winning another le.
Nice kicks TD
"We know Gary's a bad defender. All he wants to do is shoot." -TD. LOL.
Why didn't we sign this guy in the off season again?
nice! we won!
It's a military day or the halloween?
I get it St Patricks Day...
I got to see these chicks in person at the game. I thought they were dressed as wood elves or some at first, then I remembered it was military appreciation night.
This SA vs Charlotte game is memorable to me because it was my first Spurs game I've attended. Of all my time in SA, good or bad, I never got to a Spurs game, but I wanted to fix that. Thoughts on the live experience (though this wasn't my first NBA game, I saw Lebron vs KD before)....
-it's definitely much better imo. With TV you're always watching it through a 30 FPS view, so nothing like the real analog experience to appreciate the movement and energy.
-Manu is electric out there. Of all the players, when Manu has the ball things feel charged. ElOcho is like alternating current to me, which could explain why he's so polarizing, a feast or famine type of player. But he clearly does stuff that no one, including the fans, opponents and himself, really knows what will happen.
-Timmy is just the . Such a presence that is more obvious when you're in person.
-People say the SA crowd is quiet, and I was guilty of that as well, just studying the game and sometimes in my own head. But I think the crowd follows the pulse of the team, so they know to bring it in the fourth. I know I had a few jump out of my seat, fist pump moments. Especially with that Marco 3 at the end, that brought the house down.
-Gary Neal got a lot of hugs with the guys out there. Sometimes I wish Neal brought a little more to the table but for the price, you can't complain about his professionalism and cold blooded shooting. Good to see the respect out there.
Great game and experience for me. I hope to return.
Congrats!
Nothing like watching the team live. Hope you supported my client's contract by purchasing some refried beans and tacos at the Terrace Club restaurant
You also did the right thing. You probably would've wanted to end yourself if you never got to watch TD live, living in SA and all.
Thanks for sharing.
thanks scrah. actually I don't live in SA, about 3 hours drive with bad traffic. 281 used to be such a chill drive but it's a headache lately.
If I lived there I would've gone to many more games, I just lived there as a kid and then later visited family that turned to booze too much. So a lot of the trips were never great but I always dug the city and its history.
Austin and SA are my favorite cities in Texas so I'll try to get back more often, hopefully for at least one playoff game this season. Duncan and Turnobili getting closer to the end were definitely the main reasons for me doing it, so hopefully they stick around even next season.
Next time I get some tacos I'll make sure to give money to Manu's Presidential Donation Fund at the counter.
Yop, can't call yourself a true Spurs fan until you go to a game. The crowd is made to seem quiet on TV, especially on national TV, but when you attend the game its obviously loud. Been to games at Staples, American Airlines, and the Toyota Center as well, and none of them comepare to the noise the AT&T Center makes (tho Dallas is actually pretty close).
I hear you... I drive 2+ hours each way every year to go see them in Philly... it's a once a year thing, so it's all good. Glad you had a good time.
