A couple of things picked up from Shaggy:
- LB Malik Jefferson's top five appears to consist of Texas A&M, Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn and Stanford, with A&M the heavy favorite.
- We're a longshot to land QB Josh Rosen, especially considering he hasn't visited. But we're technically in his top five. He's announcing March 20.
- RB DeUnte Chatman wasn't able to get a hold of RB coach Tommie Robinson yesterday. They're supposed to discuss a possible offer. He said he'd tried to connect with the staff again today.
- RB Ronald Jones II said, "Everyone is still an option at this point except for UT." From what I've read, he's upset that he wasn't offered sooner, and he didn't come to Texas' first junior day because he didn't have an offer. I don't know how that's Charlie Strong's fault, but we are talking about a 16- or 17-year-old.
According to 24/7, Texas offered five-star DT Daron Payne (Birmingham, AL). It's worth mentioning that DL coach Chris Rumph probably has a relationship with the kid from his time with Bama's staff.

It looks like 24/7 has updates on John Burt, Keisean Lucier-South and Chris Warren. The teaser says Chris Warren's mom said Texas would "get a fair shake in his recruitment," whatever that means. The Burt and Lucier-Smith news looks like it might be from yesterday based on the links.

I thought y'all offered him last season. Maybe not. He was highly recruited though.
He was on the radar but never a guy Akina was actively recruiting, IIRC. At the time Texas was more interested in teammate WR Eldridge Massington.
According to Mike Farrell of Rivals, five-star DT Daron Payne (Birmingham, AL) said Texas joined Alabama, Auburn and Clemson in his top four after offering yesterday. Obviously it'll be tough to get him out of the state, but Farrell said he did expect Payne to visit Austin. (h/t Mack City at Shaggy)

Deunte Chatman talked to Coach Robinson yesterday and he said that he really likes him and he was going to get with Coach Strong before they could pull the trigger on a offer
Deunte Chatman is one of the best athletes in the state of Texas based on him winning the NIKE Sparq combine with a score of 130.44 and beating Kendall Sheffield one of the best athletes in Texas.He should be heavily recruited as a running back and a linebacker
