We are holding on to long to this core. Look at the Lakers holding on to long to Pau Gasol and cant even get a 2nd round draft pick for him and are gonna lose him for nothing. We aren't making the Finals again. Lets just face it. Manu was a horrible signing in the off-season...Popovich screwed Duncan over worse than any coach in NBA history in game 6 of last year and Mills is making Parker look bad. Parker is the only player we have that can net a top 10 pick in this years draft to go along with Leonard, Green, Mills, and Splitter.
no matter how much i love mills, but parker getting traded is not way to go. parker is retiring with the spurs and that's final. spurs iden y is marketed on big 3, and without them they wouldnt have won 4 championships. it would take years and years of rebuilding if they do go out, but let them retire with spurs even if they are too old or slow. they still do have a lot to offer before retirement.
let them hang up their memories with spurs of what they achieved. nba 4 champs is impressive over 15 years considering spurs is small market team.
Too obvious. Same person as OP I see....

Agree, but it's too late, should have been done by the deadline.
Some of these Spurs fans don't seem to get it. Way to young to see the big picture. I remember when the Dallas Cowboys traded Hershel Walker...their best player...for draft picks and people couldn't believe it...Cowboys were compe ive when they traded Walker....its not like the Cowboys were 3-13. Trade high....trade Parker in a stacked draft. The Cowboys ended up with Aikman, Irving, and Emmett because of that trade.
The thing I love most about the franchise is players stay here and the organization treats them with respect (most of the time). Look at those other teams rebuilding, trading, blah blah blah...hardly ever works. You want us to be the Clippers? Parker is knowledge to whoever is next
You mean like Popovich stabbing Bob Hill in the back...trading Sean to Detroit..screwing Bowen over...keeping Bonner but screwing Malik..benching the Spurs biggest icon(Tim Duncan) in game 6 with a le on the line....Parker sleeping with a teammates wife....respect like that?
Honestly (and Im always honest so never use the word) those are like a thousand truth bombs in a second.
awwww ..... dissing on pop, that is a deadly sin
Your memory is defective.
Need to trade the OP while his value is high and start rebuilding the fanbase, tbh...
while there is a good chance Parker will put his ego above the Spurs and heroball us to death, he's the reason we have Diaw, scratch that, Diaw 2.0 (with beefed up firmware) here, so gotta take the good with the bad.
That trade wasn't so much genius by the Cowboys so much as it was pure stupidity by the Vikings. If we can find a truly re ed trade partner, then you might be onto something.
Poster of the Month repping again.
And displaying the obvious for the naive: just because the Spurs are classy, doesn't mean it's a Church league...
As I said, as many times as Parker has put his own selfish interest above that of the team, by destoying his career and overdoing the French tourneys, such that now Pop has to rest his "young star" Parker more than 37 year old TD, and uncle Gino, there's nothing else to say. Spurs could have been Parade favorites this year, if they had traded TP before the deadline. O well.
Mills is chucking more and passing less than TP, he's not making him look bad, if anything he's making him look like Stockton...
Also gotta lol at that "core", beta role players, none can create their own offense let alone create for others... Boris Diaw alone s on that "core"...
Trading TP is a valid option this summer but if you trade him you tank you don't reload on the fly with this ty core and expect to contend right away...

If you think the Spurs are trading Parker before Duncan and Ginobili hang it up, you're whacked out tbqh fwiw. Anyone that says the Spurs should rebuild while the greatest player in franchise history is on the roster should be restricted from posting imho.
So how do you rate Kobe?
The only way you trade Parker is that you dismantle the whole team; Manu and Duncan both retiring.. make no sense to trade Parker when the other 2 are still with the Spurs
Bob hill? Really? Pop brought Sean back. Don't know how Bowen got screwed over; he just got old. Malik was nothing more than an energy role player just like .... Bonner. Pop didn't forced parker go sleep either anyone. Ah never mind this all just stupid. Bye
Thank God RC and Pop run that team as opposed to this board....
Didn't this fool "retire" the other day?
