If an NBA championship-level team is able to pull off something like 6, I'm sure anything can happen in that scenario.
Can Jerry Buss come back from the dead?

was quite honestly a work of art. A ing masterpiece. Think about it, SF. You've had Duncan since the days when he was ing his college buddy.. you've all accepted Jimmy's style of deliberation like it's a ing religion... you know Jimmy never rushes, he's always free of imprudence and heedlessness... But, at the heat of the moment, when it's all on the line in a winner-take-all Game 7, your boy needed a basket to tie... he got the ball cleanly from Ginobili for the first time in the series, but instead of calmly taking on the 6'7 Battier, you know, posting his way up like he's doen a million ing times in his life, he kept his head down and put up the hook shot brick. Jimmy, the guy whose deliberation you've counted on every goddamn game, came up short when he needed it the most.

Now, tell me, how the does that make you feel?
Duncan has 4 rings, you can't win em all, tbh.

There actually is a case maybe for Duncan's miss being the most devastating of all time, all things considered.

With that being said, it happened. It's really unfortunate, but it happened. There was no guarantee we win that game if he makes the shot, especially considering how Lebron was shooting
Nah Ewings miss, he never won a ring after that either nor in his career for that matter. There is a few misses that are up there in the playoffs. If Tim makes that shot they lose that game anyways, Game 6 is where it was lost not some miss in game 7 that would have tied it.

Duncan has 4 rings, you can't win em all, tbh.
Your damn right. Honestly Duncan is the last person I blame for one miss in that series, he did IT ALL to end that thing in 6 games and win the MVP but Pop ed up and missed FT's and bad bounces happened.

But, he'd won his 5th & peeled off the bag.

He makes the layup and the pressure quotient is thru the ceiling. Then the Spurs are in their comfort zone, their killing ground is apparent & available.

I think it was over when Pop pulled Duncan. the basketball gods or whomever took care of the rest imo. I think Pop realizes this even if he won't admit it publicly.

^It was the confluence of events that landed directly on top of an organization that had never had anything close to that happen to them.

Perhaps you're right..."the basketball gods" took over on behalf of the only team that they'd be on the alert for.

Different forum yes. But seriously, 4 rings are more than enough to put Duncan in the top 10 of all time rankings. Don't kid yourself by thinking otherwise, Cubby.

The Spurs had to rely on the crazy performances of Green, Neal, and Leonard just to be compe ive against the Heat. In the end, talent wins out and rightfully so. I take solace in these anyway:

Obviously you can never blame Timmy because that miss was just a horrible bounce his way, but it pretty much signaled the spurs losing that game to me along with Tim's shot at 5 slipping away with it. It wasn't the reason we lost the season, but it kind of wrapped it all up.

Game 6 was it to me, when they lost that one I was all out. I watched game 7 with some outside hope but honestly get real to fans who say his miss was the reason they lost. it was game 6 and POP sitting him and the missed FT's and the bounces, that should have been it and Tim showed up to win it all that night and get his 5th but only Kawhi wanted to trip with him to win it! Parker showed up later. If the team shows up they win easily, but Tim and Kawhi showed up all night only.

Nope. He couldn't witness the following:

    1. Achilles
    2. His son running the show
    3. Getting swept
    4. Nash stealing money from his coffers.
    5. Tanking
    6. Begging

I can't blame the man, he'd rather die of AIDS instead of seeing all these tragedies to his franchise.
