They are arguably the best role players the Lakers have ever had. Both have 5 rings while piggybacking the big fella's like Shaq and Gasol to championships. It would be nice if the Laker front office hung their jersey's side by side. Two players...5 rings each..and a whopping 2 Finals MVPs combined.(Sorry, Pau....the rest of the educated NBA fans out there know 1 of those Finals MVP's is rightfully yours). Get it done, Mitch!

That's selling Fisher short. Fisher was actually clutch.

Yep, without him slapping Kobe upside the head 17 June 2010 we would not have rung. Kobe was too hyper, bouncing off the in' walls, he was accomplishing nothing. Fisher read him the riot act, got him to act like somebody and went down into the paint and got some rebounds and started back.

    Fisher is a champion.

Fisher deserves his jersey retired for giving up his service to God when he was on the court. God's jersey retirement will be the greatest retirement ceremony of all time it will take a week to do. They are too many great memories of God to promote. I can see God getting a statue, and jersey bigger than all the other jersey's retired in the rafters.

Yes, because retiring Kobe's number is just like retiring Bruce Bowen's number

Kobe and Fisher's jerseys will be retired by the Lakers after they get inducted into the Hall of Fame. Always has been the case

    ^Juan Carlos with the goods

Bowen was a dirty . never liked the aura that came with it. he was an awesome player for us, but yeah, i never embraced his dirty antics which had nothing to do with defense. unlike laker fans who were riding metta after the elbow

^You don't ring without a Bowen, without a Fisher, without a Horry. You have to have people without conscience, good (Horry bombing in turn over CWEBB & Wallace), and bad (Horry taking Nash out)...Fisher/bad...setting Scola up and punishing him. There were no more screens setPERIOD===Fisher/good (in the middle of a Game 7 giving a psychopath a sponge bath to get to come back down to earth).

& you ain't rung since Bowen opened up that massage parlor="Happy Endings."

never said i didn't like the player. just the stigma that came about his dirty ways. he could have done all of the same defensive things without kicking people at their ankles. fisher's shot at scola was a selfish move that got himself ejected. what if they needed a big shot at the end of the game, and Fish wasn't there to deliver?

But, there were no more back screens set. If Fisher doesn't sacrifice himself it never ends. Kobe wouldn't a done it because he'd be uncomfortable and out of his element. Magic would do the same thing, not to that degree of violence, but, he'd crash it, make it stop. You can't have it if you're going to operate an offense.

& that's how you "punked" us for years. & it was beneath the surface as well aided & abetted by Media on your behalf. The whole "lunch bucket" Vs. "Hollywood" spiel. That was propagated by Eastern Media not to sell ducats and newspapers, but, to seduce us, soften us, make us pliable and accepting of our fate. It was erected immediately to stem the burgeoning threat from the West. And it nearly worked. But, Magic didn't buy it, Cooper didn't buy it and Rambis didn't buy it.
