Big difference though...LeBron started in Cleveland and he took a bunch of scrub players and scrub city to their 1st Finals appearance ever right out of the gate. Last time Kobe played with a scrub roster...he couldn't even get them into the playoffs and that was the first time the Lakers missed the playoffs in 13 years and he demanded a trade to Mars. As far as losing in the Finals twice...Kobe has also lost in the Finals twice and I believe Magic lost 3 times in the Finals.....just sayin'..The dude is gonna finish top 5 easily of All Time if he stays healthy.
But nobody says Kobe/Magic is the GOAT, and unlike Kobe he took the easy path going to Miami to play in the best team in a ty conference, Kobe demanded a trade but stayed (not even legron had smush parker and kwame brown) and got the pieces to win 2 more times.
Leroid Bosh and D were flopping the entire Finals against Spurs and were saved by a traveling 3 made by Allen and the refs who were swallowing whistles so that is not a true champion even if he wins 5 more times he will always be a pussy, a clown by any means.

its easy for Kobe fans to sit on a high horse and say "he didn't have to leave and team up with _____" because the Lakers consistently built championship rosters. its easy to rag on LeBron's lack of early rings, when your boy was playing second fiddle to the best player in the league at the time. for 3 years, kobe had a cleveland-esque roster, and he predictably strugged. they were able to swing a trade, and suddenly you had gasol/odom to complement kobe, and other very good role players like fisher and ariza.

lebron never had that luxury in cleveland of having winning teams put around him. he basically had kobe's 05-07 teams for his entire cleveland career. the year after he left they were historically bad. i can't call his joining miami a knock on his resume/legacy for those reasons

Don't get me wrong...LeBron will never be the best of All Time unless he wins the next 5 championships in a row and all the Finals MVP's and another regular season MVP..but he will still finish top 5. And some people do say Magic is the best of All Time and he had a lot more help getting his les than LeBron has in Miami. Magic had Riley coaching for every le to go along with Kareem, Worthy, Cooper, Scott, Rambis, ect...

Lebron's Decision is definitely a move, but Kobe started his career off that way by refusing to be an alpha for the Hornets. Piggybacking onto the Lakers expensive rosters was a sign of things to come imo.

Kobe and his cleveland-esque team were playing in the West, Leroy was treated like royalty even before playing a single minute taking 5 steps to the rim and flopping like , he actually left cleveland but to his fans he never does something wrong even when he lose he is a winner, made 61 points and his fans here says HE COULD MADE 80 EASILY... but he didnt so all those parallel universes are useless he had his game and if that bas could make 300 points he would.

Don't forget how he ed over the Nets.... that got quit on two teams before even playing a nanosecond of NBA basketball

At least LeBron gave Cleveland a chance before he left....

I don't blame Lebron for leaving, Cleveland is a hard sell and Gilbert has turned out to be a terrible owner. I just think The Decision could've been handled much better, and joining up with two other All Stars is not alpha imo. But he gave them plenty of chances there, and I think had they tanked one year and surrounded Lebron with another young player, a la Pippen, it would've put them over the edge.

I didn't know Kobe screwed over the Nets either. In retrospect, the Hornets should've fleeced the Lakers more so since Rapist was getting his way per the par.

So LeBron is beta for joining washed-up Wade and soft Bosh, but Fivehead is "an artist" and "the GOAT" for joining the stacked Donks and still choking every year?

I've posted the backstory several times on here - basically, Kirby's agent strung the Nets along with claims that he'd love to play in Jersey, until they were informed on draft day that he'd go play in Europe if they drafted him

Kirby is a massive got and a true beta

Wade wasn't washed up at the time they joined, and Bosh was and still is a top 5 big since the day they joined together. Call him soft or w/e but he's basically a perfect fit for that team

    couple points....
I don't think I've ever referred to Manning as the GOAT. I certainly don't throw other GOATs under the bus like how you do with trying to on MJ's legacy to prop up Lebron. Wade has only gotten more washed up lately, at the time though they figured they were taken the easy way out, hence the "not one, not two....". Fortunately Wade and Lebron have the PED hookup but at some point Wade's knee can't be saved by PEDs.

I don't think the Broncos were that great, certainly not as good as the Niners who were very close to grabbing Manning. And let's not forget, your boy Lebron still needed an epic choke from Manu and Pop, deluxe heroballing from Parker and Ray Allen's greatest shot to salvage his legacy. I doubt those things happen again.

agree about the Kobe parts though.

He didnt the Nets never played one single game always wanted to be a Laker, then every player is a got because when they are negotiating trades there are tons of chances that some player lands on X team or Y team, Kobe always played for the Lakers and nothing else your excuses are lame.
At least he gave Cleveland a chance...Lol what are you 5? you cant hide the sun with your hand he is the one and only traitor.

It's made.... you go to whatever team wants to draft you, not intimidate teams into letting you slide down the draft board and trade you, end of story....

LeBron could have pulled a Kirby, but instead, he grew a pair and actually played for the team that drafted him....

Wait, then if you are drafted and that team trades you...that team is a got and is backstabbing you? No no, you go where you want if you can and he wanted to be a Laker and nothing else, anything else is pure smoke and mirrors.
Grew a pair? when? it was when his mom was being banged by Delonte and friends maybe? perhaps it was when he was fake pushing Teletovic to a fight he grew a pair but when Ibaka literally broke his face he did nothing.
Nowitzky always stayed with the Mavs thats why his championship means much more than Shames two rings
