We're number 1 in the west?
We're number 1 in the west?
like 22 games left tbh
SA and OKC tied up in the loss column. And now with a better overall record than Miami overall. Every game counts
1/2 game behind for #1
but Spurs have lost the season series
so they will have to finish 1 game ahead
which means theyre technically 1 1/2 games behind for #1
NBA uses 1/2 game to represent games that havent been played yet for anyone who doesnt know
We're a game closer than we were 24 hours ago.
OKC would still have the tie-breaker over us. Long way to go still.
Pop is still going to rest players here and there, so don't get too excited about it, IMO
No, winning a tie-break is a half-game advantage. Otherwise, if the Spurs finished 61-21 and OKC finished 60-22, they'd be tied.
and OKC also played a game that hasnt showed up in the standings yet either...
and the above post makes no sense
how can a team be tied if they won 61 games and the other won 60...
spurstalk logic tbh...
Why not? We beat the Warriors with our C team on the road.
What people aren't talking about is that the Spurs have essentially locked up the tie-break with the Heat. They split the series, so the tie-break is out-of-conference record. The Spurs have destroyed the East, while the West is harder. The same will be true of Indiana if the Spurs can win their next game with the Pacers.
It means you were mistaken on how to score a tie-break. The Spurs are only 1 GB from OKC, not 1.5.
nice to steal a game from OKC off of MIA no less. look at us, huh?
I forgot the league goes by Conference record. I kept thinking they go by head to head point differential.
LOL yep, a LOOONGGGGGGGGGGG ways to go. Lets keep winning.
Spurs are gonna need that hca will be nice to watch this race down the stretch
spurs won 5 in a row, plus we really only have to worry about the games against POR, IND, OKC and HOU (and maybe the 2 GSWs)
6 of out last 21 games are what we'd call really tough teams, but there's always off nights and sleepers.
heading for #1 tbh, if we're healthy there is no team we can't beat.
With the West so tight, I doubt if Pop rest players as much as he has in the past. You lose 3 or 4 games you can go from first or second to fifth in a hurry. Especially, knowing OKC, Houston and Portland are all leading in their season series with the Spurs.
"Pop is still going to rest players here and there"
like resting Tony and Tim in the 4th qtr of Spurs' Game6 of their 5th Championship?
All that matters is if we finish 1 or 2 seed cause okc will get the calls against us no matter where we play.
I don't think we will see as much of Pop resting players as we have in the past - the injuries this season have us playing a little behind out normal peaking schedule, and I wouldn't be surprised if he just lets them finish the season with shortened rotations.
Crybaby gnsf about to eat again once the playoffs start
we suck
