Boris touches the ball as much as anyone on the team. Only he can determine which of those turn into shots.

at least nobody is gonna blame Parker on dat one
how many "more touches" threads is OP gonna start this season tbh
Especially if he's being guarded by a SF. He can back down basically any SF in the league. Battier was hopeless trying to contain him.
inb4 OP starts a thread about Green needing more touches
Diaw shoots when it makes sense. That's the best way to do it. He used to only shoot when he had no choice. That's the improvement he needed to make.
Also, Boris pretty much touches the ball on every offensive possession and usually has an open J when he does get it tbh.
At least Pop recognized Boris needs to be playing
hes the perfect player to counter a trap since it becomes a 4v3
where he has the option to shoot a 3
drive and score
or drive and kick for a 3
last year in the Finals Boris was locking down Lebron but Pop refused to play him when the other guys playing were ting the bed
Boris was the man tonight. Made all the difference with his facilitating and aggressiveness. He also punished Miami for going with Battier to start (unlike Splitter).
He's becoming one of my favorite players of all-time, tbh..
An out of shape tweener that passes like a PG, posts up as well as almost any big in the league, makes 3-pointers, yet doesn't like shooting the ball..
He's like a fictional basketball character, tbh..
^Hes better than David Lee too tbh.
Yeah. Diaw actually had a ton of touches tonight. He did a great job of picking and choosing. He is the X factor against OKC and Miami. Also his 3pt shooting is a major plus.
i love this fatty, always have, always will tbh![]()
For some reason ( havent check the stats) in my mind he always plays well against good teams, like important games...maybe is my imagination.
I loved the short stretch of the Diaw/Duncan/Splitter frontcourt when the Heat had both Bosh and Andersen on the floor. That lineup makes it harder for the Heat to post up LeBron, though, cause Andersen has no range.
Dias also has the beef to keep LeBron from back down very far.
That lineup plays right to the Spurs strengths on D. It's REAL hard to score in the paint when both Tim and Tiago are in the game.
I love that our bench is now anchored with a Patty and a Fatty.
That's why starting Mike Miller won the Finals for the Heat. It kept us from playing Tim/Tiago. If they continued to start Haslem we would have won that series.
Between Tim and Tony, we were raping Miami in the paint. They HAD to bring in the birdman, giving us that edge.
Good article for once from PtR on Boris :

BTW I think Boris has as many touches as he wants, it is a matter of him willing to take it. He is doing a good job so far with his 10 FGAs per 36 mn one third better than last year.
I can't decide which way to go here:
1) Blair was an anchor himself, of a different sort.
2) The Spurs have a contractual obligation to have a Whataburger spokesperson on the team.
