Don't mean squat. Diaw couldn't get off the snide here, but, you conspired with him to come there with yourself and CN and he's integral. Even if, I say even if Granger continues to disappoint there doesn't mean he'd a done likewise with you.

Greys still butthurt over a supposed "washed-up scrub"
I do not believe the point of the OP was to mock the PPG/Production. It's to mock the fact he was guaranteed very good minutes and he's playing 12MPG.
Yes it is, for the caliber of player he wants to return to.
And 13 mins of playing time? Doc lied his ass about playing time, lol, tbqh.
Bingo. DPG the only grown man on the NBA forum with reading skills, per par.
Without looking up his other stats, I'd say he's doing pretty well so far. Playing so little initially means nothing. Whether he made the right decision will depend on how much he plays going forward. He's scoring well enough (dunno about the other stats) to eventually start when Barnes comes back to Earth. However, he could end up getting even fewer minutes when Re comes back and Crawford resumes his role as sixth man. Granger may find that the Horry role he was reported to get in SA would have been better than the McGrady role he may end up getting.
Nothing's set in stone either way after so few games.
Something is set in stone alright: Granger chose wrong. With Pop the mad scientist, he would have gotten more than 15 min in San Antonio: probably 25 ish. Not to mention WAY more attention, due to the team success.
But since he was blind, stupid, and greedy for "more," now he will have so much less.
Fitting, that Granger would forge the sword, and willingly fall upon it.
Granger would not have gotten big minutes in SA at all. He'd be the fifth wing and third PF. He may not have even been on the active roster many nights.
Granger can still be the second or third wing in Los Angeles. If he can't beat out Dudley or Barnes by the end of the season, no way he would have played for the Spurs.
Stats in the thread le are not bad at all for a player who goes into a team knowing his role as a bench trooper.
If I am able score 6 points in 12 minutes as a bench player I will be okay. This thread is grasping at straws.
You underestimate Pop's brilliance, the motion offense and unselfish Spurs culture is, how many offensive droughts teams go through, etc.
In the playoffs, Granger would have gotten even more notoriety.
Look at Horry, what did he do during the regular season? Nothing. But during the playoffs, he earned his keep, and then some. Look at Belli, he was never a 3 point specialist, but the shots are easier with the Spurs.
Granger could have gotten the same notoriety, possibly even a 3-5m deal depending on he did in the post season with the Spurs.
But since he wanted the easy way out, he shall have it...right out of the league.
this. No way he even gets close to 25 minutes per game here. And wouldn't have 12 ppg through 3 games most likely. He might get more of a chance as the season goes on.
"Pop's brilliance" doesn't change the fact that Granger wasn't going to crack the rotation. If he can't get playing time with the Clippers, he wasn't going to get it with the Spurs. I don't know why you'd want Pop to give an inferior player minutes anyway. I actually don't think the Spurs even really wanted him. They sure as weren't going to change the rotation for him. Doc may.
Stop being such a homer. Granger made the right decision. You don't have to hate on him for it. And he's not even good enough to be upset over missing out on.
Wrong on that score, friend. Because the Spurs are so great, they don't require much. And whatever he would have givem the Spurs, would have made them that much better than other teams, which they are now anyway.
But Granger wanted "playing time."
He'll be getting plenty of it soon... home with the kids.
You belong upstairs with those takes. You just admitted Granger wouldn't get a bigger role in SA, but you just keep rooting for him to fail because he chose to play in his home town and get minutes on a good team instead of sitting in a suit in Texas.
Why is Spurfan still so butthurt? You have the best record in the West right now without Granger anyway![]()
Because Granger in San Antonio would have served you supremely, CN. He was made for you,,,stoic, humble, visa vie coachable. You get my drift, blanket head?
The "you're a Spurfan" tactic will get you nowhere, Dale....
I look forward to the challenge with equal amounts of both anticipation & determination.
Let us proceed...
Exactly. We should be happy our team has a good enough wing rotation to not have to play a bought-out player big minutes. It's like Spurs fans don't even know what to be mad at.
Because Granger is your kind of player. He's not a hothead, nor a sorehead, he's calm and collected, a professional. Those don't grow on trees.
Nothing wrong with lamenting his choice and his rejection of your team.
Lol did you see the Miami/Indy ECF a couple years back?
Don't be literal, Scrub. He's a solid citizen & a good egg.
I do not understand why SF can never just take a slap in the face without getting defensive. !
Not to mention Granger signed because he thought he was going to start. Barnes pretty much on his dreams. That alone warrants at least one "Granger"
