I see the trolls have come out of the woodwork.
Yeah, because I spend most of my time on here trolling--anyhow, it is an interesting case although it is a tad different than the Air France Brazil/Paris flight that disappeared for 5 days in that the AF flight was finally located near a underwater mountain range vastly deeper than where the Air Malaysia flight was last heard from. The technology has gotten better and though it is probably not going to be a great outcome, hopefully they can find the black box/voice recorder and find out what truly happened. They have what? 30 days before the ping of the black box/VR signal goes offline?

Tbh maybe there's a way we could triangulate det position? If only we had some clues such as shadows from the sun
Maybe a nearby flaglot for a reference point?

Perhaps they should look at land base areas instead of solely based in the ocean...

Another poster with the IQ of a troll...

    This place is sad.

Spurstalk is definitely on a downward slide.

I think they should. Who knew how long they might have flown under the radar.

You're right, more of us should stalk and triangulate girls and scare them off because they aren't "impressed" by our "skills"

Was it due to the pinging of the boxes? I don't recall. I remember seeing the episode of Air Disasters (a great show if you're into things like airplane crashes and their causes...like the cargo door ty design that doomed a Turkish Airlines' crash in the 70's Lockheed L-110 TriStar) but I don't recall if they found it because of dumb luck or they were able to ping it. Whatever the case, this is an interesting one being that the Boeing 777 is supposed to be one of the more safer airplanes out there.

Nah, the ping stops after ~30 days. They had to calculate the position and yeah, I think it kind of was lucky that they found it.

I figured it was 30 days--that doesn't give search teams enough time and so an ocean crash is always that more difficult. Not that any crash is easy. I was amazed that there was another crash in Queens, NY like right after 9/11. Sad time for the families and hopefully they'll find closure to this tragic event.

Police were tonight probing a mystery Iranian called "Mr Ali” who bought the tickets for passengers who used stolen passports on the missing Malaysian plane.

"Mr Ali” purchased the flights from a travel agent after insisting he wanted "cheap” tickets.

There was still no sign of the Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 which has disappeared without trace.

Authorities admitted the incident was an "unprecedented mystery” as they struggled to make any headway in the investigation.

The FBI became involved when a Thai travel agent admitted she had arranged the travel for an Iranian customer she only knew as "Mr Ali.”

Grand Horizon travel agency owner Benjaporn Krutnait said she had been asked to book inexpensive flights for Europe on March the 1st.

Eventually she purchased the two tickets for the doomed flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing and on to Amsterdam.

One of the most eerie rumors came after a few relatives said they were able to call the cellphones of their loved ones or find them on a Chinese instant messenger service called QQ that indicated that their phones were still somehow online.

A migrant worker in the room said that several other workers from his company were on the plane, including his brother-in-law. Among them, the QQ accounts of three still showed that they were online, he said Sunday afternoon.

Adding to the mystery, other relatives in the room said that when they dialed some passengers’ numbers, they seemed to get ringing tones on the other side even though the calls were not picked up.

The phantom calls triggered a new leve
