Haha! Great idea!
They should play "indubitably" from the HEB commercial.
Every time he makes a FT, I wish I could trade it for his huge miss in 6, tbh
Get a life.
Goddamn you
Funny how Manu gets murdered for his mistakes in game 6 but kawhi gets a free pass for his missed free throw because he's young. Oh well, you move on and it looks like he's headed toward the right path to s om with the way he's been playing since he's come back. I'm glad he didn't get Nick Andersoned after that free throw, tbh. I'm so excited for this kid, man.
Not only because he's young, the kid had an outstanding performance in game 6 -and 7-, Manu...not really.

Young kid in his first NBA Finals, couldnt blame him for missing that one. Now Manu on the other hand has typically been the Spurs "closer" at the FT line in previous le runs and he missed one...![]()
Manu was terrible AND he also had a missed free throw at the end.
.....I mean......damn.
Annnnnnnd game 6 talk has taken over.
It happens every time man. Can't escape it.
I honestly thought this was gonna be a game 6 thread
2013 NBA Finals Game 6
Leonard 22 pts / 11 rebs / 3 stls 64.3%FG
Manu 9 pts / 4 rebs / 3 assts 8 tovs 40%FG
shouldn't have been in the game. why is this being ignored? what coach sends a 2nd year 61% freethrow shooter to the line. he had been shooting like all series. would u blame shaq for missing a freethrow in a closeout game in the finals if phil jackson would have put him in to shoot freethrows at the end of the game. shaq normally shot around 50%, leonard was shooting 61. 100% popovich's fault. every team should have a freethrow shooting lineup at the end of the game. at least every team i've ever played on and i've seen in the nba. maybe popovich does things differntly.
LOL and one missed FT some get on him about! He was the only one sides Tim to show up for Games 6 and 7 and nobody wanted to take the trip with them. Those two forever get a pass IMO for those games sides TIMS hook miss and his miss FT, regardless they did all they could to END THAT IN 6! They were not the problem.
Nick Anderson missed 4 damn FT's in a row I believe in that game.... Now that is just flat out horrible.
Yes that did ruin his career at the line etc., but he was not a young kid in the game and Kawhi missed one while Nick just choked as a whole two times in a row at the line when he got fouled.

Yep around 3:00 in he misses 4 Ft's in a row and only needed one! Kawhi atleast made one of two.

Leonard wasn't shooting FTs at a high percentage for the playoffs. The ball should have never gotten to him. I don't blame him for missing one. That miss just rimmed out anyway. Not like an airball or anything. I more blame Pop for taking out the best rebounder of both teams. He says all the time "Possession doesn't end until you get the rebound." Anyways I think they should play the "indubitably" from the HEB commercial. Spurs will never do it, because it is somewhat original and creative.
Funny how quickly people forgot about game 5 (a game we actually won) and how well Manu played in that. But yes, you can't put the two in the same boat - Kawhi was our second best player that series.
And Every time he makes a three pointer they should say "ees gwwdd"
Their big numbers were mainly due to Miami's defense focusing on our perimeter players (which also explains Manu's turnover, Parker % and Green 3pt). Miami know they couldn't stop them efficiently so they didn't even try to (seriously, they even let Battier defend Duncan 1vs1 in the paint in a crucial moment) and instead put all their effort to shut down Tony Manu and Green who had a big game 5.He was the only one sides Tim to show up for Games 6 and 7 and nobody wanted to take the trip with them.
Tim and Kawhi showed up for sure, but we can't say they were clutch, they missed a lot in the 4th quarter. Not blaming them though, for me the fault is on Pop not taking avantage of Miami's weak inside defense, letting Leonard shoot free throw, resting starters too much, pulling out Duncan at the end ... Too bad Boris realized one year late what he could do.
Theres no excuse for Green's piss-poor 3-pt % in games 6 and 7. What was he, 1 for 18? Absolutely atrocious. And to add insult to injury, he goes out and parties with the great satan after game 7.
Everyone kind of forgets that tony also missed a freethrow at the end of game 6.
What does that even mean?!
Kawhi's great...and his hands man, it's like he's part bear!
Tony's five points in the last couple of minutes of game 6 were what put us up by five with 26 something seconds left. He had been shooting poorly but absolutely came through in clutch shooting. He didn't take the shots that missed after that while Miami was catching up on the scoreboard.
Can't blame Manu's to's, can't blame Kawhi's missed FT, can't blame TP's poor percentage before the end of that game, can't blame Pop's refusal to leave a rebounder in the game with it on the line. It was a team effort to lose that game. Young players, old players, hurt players, tired players, etc. etc. etc.
We lost to the defending two time NBA champions and we were better than 28 other teams in the league.
It is so far past time to stop re-litigating that damn series.
