Actually...I was about to criticize Kobe for this because he is a huge reason why the future seems bleak. However, him calling out Buss and telling Jeanie and Jim to figure this out is the best thing to happen to the Lakers in over 3 years. I think Kobe getting that contract and still being comfortable enough to call out Buss is awesome.
This got signed The Contract and still has the nerve to demand moves and try to play GM....

This is incredibly painful to watch. I have never seen a fall of a great franchise like this before. It's ugly. Laker "fans" will have to cling to past even more because the now/future looks horrifically bad.
It's amazing the amount of direspect Kobe has. LA is stupid (not business-wise, but personally) for showing that snake in the grass so much loyalty. He's spurned them and spit in their faces so many times and quit on them so many times, yet they keep paying him and taking it. They are the Lakers. They are the great franchise. They should ship Kobe's spoiled broke down ass out and prove that point again like they have before.

Great points, but with Kirby's popularity, the Lakers FO doesn't care about winning a le. But because Kirby put buts in those expensive seats, they pretend to kowtow. For them it's just about profit, and if they win a few shiny golden baubles for their fans to drool over, so much the better.
