Manu actually played pretty well in game 7, tbh (18 points). His game 6 was obviously horrible, though.
Because Leonard still showed up in the last two games. Getting on Leonard about the missed FT is like hating on Timmy for the missed layup that would have tied the game. Really, Duncan and Leonard are the only two that I'm not angry at for the their performances in that series.

You're ultimately right, but what makes that hard to swallow is we had them beat in six. They weren't defending nothin, but we gave it away.
But at this point, I've moved on and am just waiting for these po to start.
If only we missed one more free throw, Pop wouldn't have put a 3 point defense in, and Timmy would've never been taken out. LeBron would've gone to the rack down by 2, there'd be no missed three long rebound for Ray Allen to capitalize on.
Manu/Kawhi should've choked a little bit more and we would've won![]()
I swear if the spurs won back to back this season and the next and you es will still be spamming the board with game 6.
Pop's a genius. You can't question him. Don't forget the Heat's strategy would have been to foul the worst free throw shooter.
You thought right
It's so predictable... lol

That was the first Finals where the Spurs did not have HCA. This time, they will. This time, they bag #5. Book. It.
The spurs were up 5 with 28 seconds left. Shouldn't have come to that. That kid did everything any of us or the spurs could of asked for and basically carried us for a stretch in the last two games save for the free throw, they lost as a team and duncan looked on from the best seat in the arena, still bothers but life goes on.
Manu sucked. Leonard rocked. There is no comparison.
Exactly.
No one's denying Manu played terrible, tbh. Every time Manu makes a FT, I also wish I could trade it for one in 6, tbh.![]()
And watching him play this year makes me wonder where that Manu was last year in the Finals....
He had money on the Heat, tbh... You just take what you can get with him. He wins us one le, and the next year he makes a deal with the opposing team for cash in order to bring us down (2003, then 0.4 in 2004 ... 2005, then The Foul in 2006 ... 2007, then 6 last year). Just the way it is... Manu giveth, and Manu taketh away. Can't blame him for chasing the $$$$$$$$$$$$$, tbh.![]()
A tough spot to put a young player in and the miss was just a bad bounce. I didn't exactly see Tony or Manu trying to get open to take Timmy's pass.
Manu would have usually been the person to get the ball in that situation but it didn't seem like he wanted it. The Heat had to foul. Only the best free throw shooters should have been in the game.
Manu should've left the Spurs when he had the chance in '04 and then he wouldn't have "cost us championships" like people have been saying and all these haters would really be happy because he would've been gone.
The main reason Kawhi got sent to the line was that he was the only man open and the Spurs were perilously close to a five second violation.
I would have loved to see Gary Neal shoot those FT's, but considering his defensive shortcomings and both teams being out of timeouts, it probably wouldn't have been prudent to have him out there.
We didn't really need him. Heck, (as often as he gets hurt) it isn't like the Spurs have been unsuccessful WITHOUT him.
ft and Kawhi is all i remember from 2013 finals :~(
It's not like it would have mattered since the best defensive player was on the bench when it mattered. Also Pop had no problem subbing Duncan out of the game regardless of the timeout situation.
