I love how Blake is "soft" and a "pussy" for doing the smart thing and not hurting his team by retaliating and getting himself suspended.... meanwhile, if he ever did retaliate, we all know the haters would immediately change their tune and start calling him a "fake tough guy," a "headcase," and "easily-provoked," tbh....

Ya - I am not even a Blake fan, but he's become underrated which is crazy. I think he's annoying on the court, but his game is sick and I just call it like I see it. JO didn't want none when he saw Blake not even flinch.

Oh, I understand why players are annoyed by him - mainly because they don't want to be posterized and because he's become a frustrating player to guard - but Blake is handling it the right way and not hurting his team, tbh....

In fact, if he did fly off the handle like people seem to want him to do to somehow prove that he's "tough," he'd just be giving other teams the reaction that they try in vain to bait him into....

nobody underrates Blake anymore. He just gets slapped around because everybody knows he won't do anything about it. Which is fine since this is the NBA and not the UFC so about 98% of the players are pussies tbh.

What's he supposed to do? That's why terrible players like Ryan Hollins have a job tbh..

Not really tbh. Guys get annoyed of him because he acts like he's getting ass-raped in San Quentin anytime his defender breathes on him. He also preens after every dunk he does which of course annoys the other team. He also has a very punchable ginger face tbh.

Nobody is punking him just because he's a great player tbh, it's all his other oncourt antics.

I don't think he should do anything either, his team won the game. Who cares if washed up JO steps up to him in the locker room. Just saying why guys take shots on him.

Mugen's honesty is refreshing. Spur fan quick to defend dem Clips to annoy Laker fans, but bottom line is Blake acts made at times ...
I am happy with how much his game has improved and he has even stood up for himself at times this season.
But until he truly backs down another "big" who is a threat guys will come at him.

No NBA player seems to get disrespected more by his peers than Blake Griffin. Aside from the fact he whines and instigates, a player of his caliber unfortunately always resorts to this Hard to respect a guy like that tbh.

He wants to dunk on you, and taunt you like he’s a badass, and then he wants to flop when guys test his badassery – and then he cowers away, complains and waits for Matt Barnes to pick his battles for him . In short, he act like a so he gets treated like a .

he even exaggerated the contact with the official.

He gets picked on unfairly sometimes, sometimes he deserves it. Regardless, it ain't gonna stop until he puts a stop to it.

I'd prefer Griffin to keep it business as usual, all this posturing isn't going to elevate the Clippers. If people want to deck him, that's fine, they get a suspension and we get to keep our players. JO is a terrible human being and he's been trying too hard to act like he's somebody. He's a complete joke. I hope he breaks his leg for good.

Sons, he's putting a stop to it with his play. He's flat out beasting the NBA right now. Not only that, but it's making him tougher. Last game he absolutely trucked some dude when he came over to foul him

The previous years, I'd say this is true but this season, especially after CP3 went down, he toned the flopping down. He's quietly putting an excellent season in terms of improvement and maturity.

and Matt Barnes stopped caring months ago after his famous tweet

Agree with DPG that he is playing very well.
I have not only seen improvement in play but also agression.
But again for it to stop good play is not enough.
Pau for example had some great play ... MVPau to hear Spur fan tell it ...did that ever stop dudes from going at Pau?
Blake stand up aggressive one time one fake fight and all dat noise stops ...

Better to lash out and get suspended than to keep cool and help team win games.

So many of you act like hoops is played on a box score or in a vacuum.
I would not ask Blake to instigate a fight nor do I think a locker-room brawl makes much sense.
But he could do a few things to defend himself and to be honest he has taken more hard fouls and pushed back more this year than I have ever seen.

Was Kareem, Parish, Oakley Mchale neanderthalls for reacting with force to send a message.

Now I know a Mchale type clothesline is beyond dirty and would lead to a multiple game suspension, but Fisher's hard screen on Scola was hard message sent and Scola has not mattered in a big game ever since.
there is still a place for toughness in this pussified NBA.

80s and 90s basketball physicality and the subsequent consequences are far from what we have today. You don't want another 2007 suns or 2005 pacers scenario. The players lashed out and hurt their teams in a big way.

Btw, Kareem punching laimbeer did nothing. Didn't Kareem broke his hand too?

Hey, if takes getting in an altercation and getting suspended for a game or two to reclaim his territory, then I'm all for it, especially for the long run of his career.
