Oh, my.
That's a lot of to pull out of ur ass, tbh![]()
damn Thread with the occasional goods.
still sounds better than what the Lakers have to offer.
Thread actually making basketball points. I'm glad he's taking my words to heart
Bull . Nothing with Dwight is guaransheed. Durant was never coming to LA either.
Lakers only have weather, women and weed to offer right now. Yes they will have some cap space if NAsh retires ... but no true franchise player to give it to.
& that is the elephant in the room. Nobody/Media wants to acknowledge nor talk about that because if they do it is a conversation killer.
Weed to a certain degree, but players have had no problem getting that in forever. Women and weather are true, people always talk about the 70 degrees and dime pieces out there. I won't argue with that. LA is so weird to me, but maybe I've seen Chinatown too much.
It's a strange situation, because LA is built to be the place for franchise players to go and have the best chances of ringing. Yet what happens if there aren't that many elite players to go around? Do they scrap their iden y to try to emulate a culture and system like the Spurs, which takes a long commitment.
This is a bunch of baloney, Killa. He took the path of becoming the actual franchise player (something he wasn't allowed to be in LA), on a franchise that's been struggling. And he did it leaving money on the table. The spotlight was going to be on him anywhere he went, but in Houston he's actually appreciated by his teammates and coach.
The path of least resistance would've been to cash in the best offer, point fingers at injured teammates and ty coach/system, fake an injury and mail it in...
Howard was appreciated in LA tbh...
You're playing checkers again I see. The Lakers are never down for too long. These are things we know. I'll go out on a limb and say that the Lakers will win several more rangs before the Rockets get their 3rd. History says I'm right.![]()
Truth bombs. Just roll with them son.![]()
He did not leave money on the table.
He walked into his first practice and one of his teammates was saying "this is my team"... it's difficult when you get mixed messages, tbh...
yes he did...
Sources said Howard had a possible change of heart because of the extra $30 million he would be leaving on the table if he signed with Houston. The Lakers could have given Howard a five-year deal worth $118 million while Houston can offer $88 million over four years.

I hope Rockets don't ring this year or next but I think they have a legitimate window. Different era son, history might repeat itself but not always.
It's a shorter deal, but it's well known Dwight will actually make more because of the tax differences between CA and TX.Year 5 will come with a new contract, he has an ETO in 2016 in what could be his last big payday.
There's a really good recent Forbes article that breaks this down very well. I don't have the link for it on my phone, but I'll dig around and see if I can find it. It shows the advantage that the Texas teams (and to a slightly lesser extent Florida teams) have in terms of the Jock Tax.
20 years is a long ass time son.![]()
19 years to be exact.
his ass in the air
Three first names is a decent coach, not legendary, but he did bring some very valuable stuff to the nba in the mid 00s. His style has since been copied, perfected and decoded, but he does have quite a bit of contribution to the league.
That said, he's probably not a championship winning coach, but the lakers does not have a championship roster either. So why not just put out some high scoring entertaining basketball for the fans, then kij the coach to the curb after the roster is close to done, or at least when management finally figured out why to do?
Bull . Mike knew what he was signing on to, who he was signing on to coach. His opportunity came when they handed him that pen, and lol at "new CBA continues..." as if LA has to have 130m salary every season just to make the playoffs. Other teams seem to be doing fine.
What? You have the true franchise player right there in your user name. Until you guys formally dump Kobe, he's your true franchise player. He's an all star starter. There were no Spurs starting in the AS game, none voted to start. Kobe has a gold medal and 5 rings. 5>4. Why are the Spurs sitting atop the league with no franchise player?
Oh I know... you need the lion's share of NBA talent to even compete because player development and coaching are just mythical things other teams purport to do who cannot afford luxuries.
