Google Fiber expansion moves fast, San Antonio approves construction
http://arstechnica.com/business/2014...-construction/Google last month announced that it's talking to 34 cities in nine metro areas nationwide about installing Google Fiber, and it looks like San Antonio, Texas is the first to move ahead.
"On Thursday, the City Council approved a long-term contract with Google Fiber Texas, LLC., allowing the tech company to install about 40 so-called 'fiber huts' at San Antonio libraries, fire and police stations, and other city buildings," the San Antonio Express-News reported today.

It's 1 Gbs speed for 70 bucks or 5Mbs speed for free
The "free" still has a variable by location install fee.
You're correct, but if you can stomach that speed, then the 300 bucks up front is a good deal.
It's only $30 in Provo![]()
I can stomach 300 for a lifetime
